Keegan was shooting the ball at a high level to help lead Maple Grove past Richfield in game two. Last year he excelled in that role as a 3&D guy, but looks like this year we'll see him playing a bit more on the ball. He picked his moments to attack the basket, and at around 6'3 he has the size needed to finish over the top of defenders. Unselfish player who kept the ball moving, and wasn't forcing his game despite getting hot in the second half.

The MSU-Mankato baseball commit has been terrific in fall league for Farmington. Despite standing at 6'5, Marshall makes his impact out on the perimeter where he's a lights out shooter. Farmington constantly has him running off screens and moving without the ball looking to get into pockets of space to catch and shoot. Marshall does a great job of quickly getting his feet squared up off the move, and it allows him to get his shots off before chasing defenders can catch up. His athleticism also allows Farmington to play big, as at 6'5 he's able to play and defend on the wing.

CDH came up just short against Hopkins in overtime, but it was the hot shooting of JoJo Mitchell that got them to that point. He was rattling in three after three, making defenders pay for sagging off too much. He can relocate for catch and shoot threes, or break his man down off the dribble for a flashier pull-up jumper. Despite this big scoring game, Mitchell isn't just a one trick pony, as I've seen him excel in the role of a facilitator in other games this fall. There's a lot of size and talent around him this year that he's able to get involved, but he knows how to take a game over on his own when the shot is falling.

[player_tooltip player_id='2429912' first='Ryan' last='Mann'] isn't the flashiest player, and with all of the talent around him he doesn't need to be. But that doesn't mean he doesn't excel in his role. Mann is a high IQ guard who can handle it under pressure, makes smart decisions on the ball, and makes the most of his shooting opportunities as a high percentage three point shooter. He always seems to be in the right spots defensively, keeps the ball moving on offense, and does a nice job of getting the ball inside to his bigs when they have an angle. Coming off a strong AAU season with [program_tooltip program_id='2075693' first='MN' last='Crossfire'].

I'm not sure if there's a team with a deeper group of guards in the state than Champlin Park. [player_tooltip player_id='1560756' first='Pierless' last='Davis'] looks to be growing in confidence, and had a nice showing in a win over Farmington during the final game of the day. The 2026 lefty was getting into the lane for finishes off two feet, and showed his shooting touch from mid-range and three. Really like the pace he plays with, just floating with the ball at times, and freezing his defender before making a move. He looks to be dangerous out of the pick & roll as he showed the vision to hit his bigs on the move, or pull-up for three if his man went under.

Abu continued his strong run of play this fall in a tough game against Hopkins. He's difficult to match up with because of his blend of size, explosiveness, and strength. Abu excels at facing up, able to beat his man after a jab-step, or simply elevate for the short/mid-range jumper where he can connect at a high percentage. Can play a bit of a small-ball big because his physical tools allow him to play a bit bigger than his size, helping him compete on the glass against true post players. Transition threat who can beat opposing forwards up the floor and finish above the rim with ease.

Farmington has a lot of strong and physical players on their team, and you can add Justin to that list. He just plays with a level of grit that helps him produce in a number of ways. In the two games I watched he was battling on the glass to pull in rebounds against taller players, and used his strength to finish through contact inside. Someone who isn't going to be afraid to get on the floor and compete for a loose ball, and can impact a game without needing to take shots as a defender, rebounder, and energizer.
