Our first update of the Class of 2027 rankings this fall is complete and a number of guys saw a jump in the rankings. Here's a look at some of the top stock risers in this latest round of updates.

+49 - [player_tooltip player_id='2479591' first='LJ' last='Batchelor'] (2027 Oregon City) from #93 to #44

Thanks to his play during the summer with a talented Oregon Prospects squad, Batchelor is the highest stock riser. He's a good athlete at 5-foot-11, plays with a good motor on the defensive end, and has plenty of offensive potential.

+40 - [player_tooltip player_id='1747849' first='Elijah' last='Schmidt'] (2027 Sprague) from #60 to #20

A candidate for top newcomer this year in the Valley at Sprague, Schmidt exploded at the PrepHoops Sophomore ID Camp with his explosive scoring ability. The 5-foot-9 combo guard will certainly be one to watch this season.

+28 - [player_tooltip player_id='2132796' first='Mason' last='Schartz'] (2027 Creswell) from #86 to #58

Solid big men are hard to come by, especially at the 3A level, where Schartz is primed to have success this season at Creswell. He's got good size and strength at 6-foot-5, and is a bully in the paint.

+19 - [player_tooltip player_id='2421603' first='Eli' last='Hopkins'] (2027 Oregon City) from #33 to #14

Hopkins first impressed us during the spring and summer with Oregon Prospects and he continued his high-scoring act at the PrepHoops Sophomore ID Camp. The Oregon City sophomore has grown to 6-foot-6 and could be one of the top impact newcomers in all of 6A this season with his ability to score attacking from the perimeter and finishing above the rim.

+7 - [player_tooltip player_id='2479597' first='Mychal' last='Boyd'] (2027 Jefferson) from #66 to #59

A hard-nosed, defensive-oriented guard, Boyd has the ability to score from the lead guard position. The sophomore should challenge for some serious playing time this upcoming year for new Demos head coach Rob Smaller.
