The Expo Colorado: Team 4 Overview

This group looked to push the pace in transition, quick to convert defensive rebounds into outlets. They feasted on lackluster opposing defenses, creating easy looks in the fullcourt.     Davis was a confident perimeter shooter, bringing a smooth release off the catch or dribble. Capable of stepping into deep attempts behind the arc, the guard has some notable range in his arsenal. A quick decision maker in the halfcourt, defensively in particular, Davis was a pest in the passing lanes. Davis was among the most dependable shotmakers from distance for this team, routinely providing offense throughout their matchups.     Washington is about as fast in the break as anybody in transition, quickly pushing the pace immediately after the defensive board. Constantly looking to draw opponents into the paint, the guard has no trouble blowing by opponents with his first step. Dualling as a skilled playmaker with the ball, he can create plays one on one or with ball screens. At the point of attack, opponents had trouble creating separation. He displayed repeated value on both ends of the floor, in large part form him     Starr is a confident shot taker out along the perimeter, dependable knocking shot attempts off the bounce. Hitting a few step back threes on the day, he created space for attempts quite a few times. His quick release paired with the tight handle has made Starr an intriguing perimeter shotmaker down in the Springs, competing in every match in this event. Bringing in plenty of shooting gravity, Starr drew plenty of attention, effectively leveraging those strengths to set up scorers with great looks.     Walker did well protecting the rim, possessing a great timing to get up just in time to swat away shots at the basket. A fairly quick lateral defender, he matched up well with a wide variety of wings and perimeter playmakers. ALongside the obvious defensive skillset, he brought a constant motor in the paint. Active crashing the glass for second chance opportunities or being proactive on the defensive glass, he worked tirelessly for his opportunities. There were few athletes at this event with his motor.     Franko stayed poised to attack the paint, effectively drawing in the defense. A skilled playmaker with the ball, the guard does well recognizing openings in the lane. Dependable creating plays out of ball screens, Franko keeps his eyes up to make the next play whenever available. Franko will be another Colorado Springs guard set up for success this coming season.     Baxter looked to pressure the rim, active on backdoors to attack the paint for layups. Constantly testing the defense for driving lanes, the guard kept opponents honest, particularly off the catch. Baxter stayed shot ready off the catch, ready to space the floor once an opening provided itself.     Mahary shows the ability to space the floor, bringing a dependable jumper off the catch. Bringing in good size as a shooting guard, his positional strength makes him a capable defender against backcourt opponents. His strength was essential on the glass, actively boxing out opponents one on one to kickstart fast breaks.
