Bessen did a nice job probing the defense and driving when the gaps were there. He converted a couple of those drives and was also effective in kicking to open teammates when the lane was congested. Bessen can also knock down the outside jumper.

Boyce had a strong showing at this showcase. A very versatile player at 6'1", I asked him about his primary position. Not surprisingly, he said he will play wherever he needs to play, typically at guard or small forward. His athleticism and drive resulted in a mix of strong and creative finishes in traffic, while defensively he generated turnovers and was generally a menace to the opposing team.

Burow showed some nice versatility, playing primarily as a forward. He shared that he typically plays guard but adjusted his style to be effective in this guard-heavy event. He did some nice things on the hardwood, hitting the boards, and scoring in a variety of ways at all three levels. He can finish through contact, hit a step-back from mid-range, or use hesitation and to get to the rim.

Simply, I have Colbert down as the best player I saw at The Expo: Wisconsin. He did it all. Quick hands and tenacity on defense, unselfish distributor, crafty passer, can score at all three levels, hustle, court awareness, you name it. Oh, and he had three highlight-worthy dunks in this game and another one I saw later in the evening (two hand, one hand, reverse, over the defender). He has exceptional athleticism and a great demeanor on the floor.

Glaus was another player to show an ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc. He has a solid build and took the rock hard to the hoop, demonstrating his ability to finish through contact. Glaus also did a nice job running the floor in this game.

A high energy player, Jacobus checked a lot of boxes during this game. He uses his body well to score over larger players, whether on drives in traffic, hitting on floaters in the lane or hesitating and scooping around outstretched arms in the paint. He is a true two-way player, getting after it on defense to create turnovers as well. I noted several "plus" passes and he will rebound and knock down the three.

Don't let this guy get going, because he can light it up from distance. Schuessler went on a streak, hitting three treys in a short period of time in this game. A solid ball handler, he also leveraged his effectiveness from outside to use a shot fake and beat his defender to the hole with a nice finish through contact.

Young knocked down a couple of triples in this matchup, using his size at the guard position to his advantage around the perimeter. Active both inside and out, he also put his 6'3" frame to work by securing rebounds and defending well.
