Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. We've been able to flex our muscles here in the month of September hosting three outstanding events featuring well over 300 prospects from across the Hoosier state. First, it was our annual Freshman Showcase and newly formed Sophomore ID Camp that we hosted back on Sunday, September 8th. Both events were a massive success. Then, on Sunday, September 22nd we hosted “The Expo” which featured juniors and seniors looking to gain exposure in front of college coaches. As always, our scouting staff will be releasing team-by-team evaluations highlighting every single prospect in attendance. Here are our evaluations on the prospects that made up Team 4.

Love is a shooter and primary scorer who can also run the lead guard spot out of Wes-Del High School. He showed some nice things at The Expo on Sunday. The 5'11" guard is a scrappy player that showed the ability to flip a switch between playing the role of a floor general and then entering into score-first mode. He showed some nice ball handling ability that would often lead to him making good passes while flashing some high IQ and court vision. Love also showed that he can knock down shots from beyond the arc when open on the perimeter.

Hammell is a 6'3" guard out of Kokomo High School that was one of the handful of Top 20 ranked Class of 2026 prospects that ended our event. He plays with such a quick burst both on and off the ball and is always going to be locked in on the defensive end as well. While he showed that he can be a playmaker on the ball, it felt like he was at his best playing the slasher role on the offensive end. He is one of the players for Kokomo this season that will be thrust into a much larger role this upcoming season. He certainly has the upside to breakout this year.

Kiteka is a 6'4" hybrid forward out of Vincennes Lincoln High School. He has a long frame and plays with a high motor. His burst of athleticism at the forward spot popped as he aggressively attacked the glass on both ends. His size and skillset allows him to plays both inside and out showing off his ability to make tough finishes while also knocking down the outside jumper. Still under-the-radar but it is easy to like the tools he has.

Keferl is a 6'2" guard out of Fort Wayne (Carroll) High School that has a strong frame and build at the guard position. He worked very well off the ball in the game I watched and displayed a high IQ with 5-on-5 team concepts. When on the ball, he had a few sharp passes that showed that he could play more of a secondary playmaker role as his development continues on. Projects to be a true perimeter threat this season.

Brock Jr. was one of the few out of state prospects that was in attendance at The Expo on Sunday. A guard out of Walnut Hills High School in Ohio, he was one of the smoothest shooting guards that I watched on the day. He has a longer frame at his position which allowed him to get some easy shots off even against pressure. Brock Jr. proved to be a good rebounder as well and a player that can push the ball up the floor in transition once he gets it.

Sloss was one of the top prospects in the gym on Sunday at The Expo. There was pretty much nothing that Sloss could not do during the event as he was defending multiple positions, scoring at all three levels, and doing everything in-between at such a high level. His athleticism looks to have improved as well which is only going to make him more of a threat as a hybrid forward with a 6'7" frame. A breakout season could be coming for Sloss at Brownsburg High School. Small college coaches have already started to take notice and there should be more to come.

Moore came into The Expo and showed why he is ranked as a Top 40 prospect in the Class of 2026. He is a very quick, dynamic playmaker with the ball that can score and create at all three levels. Moore is a smart player as well with high-level court vision and feel for creating in tight windows. A growth spurt would really take his game to the next level as he has all the tools you really want in a guard, but his explosive athleticism generally makes up for his size. Another Kokomo player that will step into a much larger role this season.
