Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. That is never more true than doing our annual series of fall showcase events. On Sunday, we hosted our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase which is the single best event we put on each year. Over 150 of the states best freshmen descended upon Fishers High School to play in front of our scouting staff as well as many area high school and grassroots coaches. We will spend the next week or so pumping out evaluations of every single player that was in attendance. However, to begin, let's simply highlight some of the top performers from the day. On Sunday we highlighted six other top performers in Part One.

You won't find many, if any, prospects in Indiana's Class of 2028 longer or bouncier than this 6'4" forward from Anderson High School. Bowling lives at and above the rim. He is a relentless driver that can get downhill in a hurry and then elevate to finish up above the defense. On the defensive end, that same length and athleticism allows him to be very versatile and disruptive. Bowling has proven himself, between his play at the varsity level during June and now at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase, as one of the top prospects in the class.

One of the more impressive wings at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase, Gilbert looks like a future star coming through the program at Warren Central High School. The 6'4" scorer has a smooth jump shot and gets good elevation his pull-up. Gilbert appears comfortable enough with the ball in his hands to create separation from the perimeter and get his shot at any level. He could be factoring into the varsity rotation sooner rather than later.

Coach Jeff Teague has a talented freshman to develop in [player_tooltip player_id='2362618' first='Emoni' last='Lewis']. This 6'2" guard was one that we at Prep Hoops Indiana were not familiar with coming into the Freshman Showcase, but he pretty quickly made his presence known as one of the better backcourt prospects in the gym. Lewis is a pretty dynamic playmaker with some real burst and quickness when getting downhill. Defensively, he was consistently in a stance and bothered opposing ball handlers.

Nash has the strength and build of a forward while possessing the skill level of a guard/wing. He really impressed with his ball handling ability at 6'3" showcasing how he can create separation off the bounce and get to his spots consistently. The Kokomo High School product displayed a consistent mid-range game and punished smaller defenders around the basket. Kokomo expects him to factor into the primary rotation from day one this winter. He certainly looked the part of a contributor at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.

Coming into Sunday's event we had heard some reports about this 6'8" prospect from Borden High School. However, the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase offered our first opportunity to actually see him play. That is why our event is so valuable. Scheich was incredibly impressive proving himself as one of the more intriguing long-term prospects in the gym. He can catch the ball on the roll and finish, stretch the defense out beyond the three-point line, and disrupt shots defensively. The fluidity with which he moves at his size and young age is pretty impressive. Scheich is a very real prospect to monitor in the coming years.

There is no denying that Voltz is one of the more talented pure playmakers and shot-creators in Indiana's Class of 2028. He looked like a true combo guard, a label we typically stay away from, at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Voltz can really shoot it from beyond the arc, but then uses that pressure that he puts on defenses to get into the paint and make plays from advantageous positions. His ball handling ability makes it hard for defenses to keep him from getting paint touches. Look for Voltz to factor into the equation early in his career at Decatur Central High School.
