Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. That is never more true than doing our annual series of fall showcase events. This past Sunday, we hosted our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase which is the single best event we put on each year. Over 150 of the states best freshmen descended upon Fishers High School to play in front of our scouting staff as well as many area high school and grassroots coaches. Throughout the week, we will be pumping evaluations on every single kid that attended this event. For this one, we look at the players that made up Team 1.

***As you can imagine, trying to cover 150+ prospects in a single event is a very daunting task. Also, there always end up being a couple of jersey number discrepancies, so if you attended the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and DID NOT receive an evaluation, please reach out to Brandon Ramsey via email coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or on Twitter @BRamseyKSR.***

There is always a more stark contrast between those who develop physically early on and those who haven't quite hit that growth spurt yet when you have 150+ freshmen in the gym. However, despite being 5'8", Campbell routinely stuck his nose in against bigger opponents on the defensive end and did not shy away from penetration offensively. That Gary West Side High School guard has some ball skill that will shine through as he gets bigger and stronger.

Zowd is a talented playmaker with a lot of creative combo moves off of the dribble that he used to consistently get two feet in the paint. He was very quick end-to-end with the ball in his hands consistently pushing the tempo in transition and making good decisions from a live dribble. Once he got into the paint, the 5'10" point guard from Yorktown High School showcased some creative finishing ability against opposing size. It was a good overall showing for him at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.

This Hamilton Southeastern High School point guard had his shot-making ability on full display at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Early on in 3-on-3 play he knocked in a tough pull-up three-point shot and then hit another later in 5-on-5 action. His smooth release and ability to stretch the floor made him a popular target for kick out opportunities on the perimeter. Modesitt also assisted on some shots when he would drive into the lane.

One of the early standouts in 3-on-3 play, Kobe was consistently involved in the action whether it was as an off-ball cutter or on-ball playmaker. The 6'1" guard from Portage High School displayed athleticism when running the floor and crashing the glass as an effective offensive rebounder from the perimeter. The smooth, left-handed guard also shot it well on Sunday. There have been a long line of Kobe's recently coming through the area, and Bryce appears to be the next one of the talented bunch.

Everything about this Zionsville guard's game appeared smooth on Sunday. He had a great spin move and finish through traffic in 5-on-5 play. His jump shot was pure and repeatable. Even as an off-ball cutter he made a couple of great catches to either finish or make the "one more" pass to an open teammate. Hunt clearly has a high basketball IQ and understands how to play in a tea setting. One to watch in the Eagles backcourt over the coming years.

Noble is a highly versatile guard out of Westfield High School that ran the show consistently for his team in a 5-on-5 setting. He is under control with the ball in his hands and displayed good processing and basketball IQ when running the offense. The 6'0" guard is strong and physical off of the bounce with the ability to get into the paint and make plays for his teammates. He looked the part of a true floor general on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.

There is always some talent popping up at Merrillville High School and this 6'1" guard looks to be the next in that lineage. Brown made a couple of great plays in transition as a willing passer who was always looking to make plays ahead of him down the floor. Then, on the defensive end, he jumped passing lanes and was consistently disruptive on the ball. There is some length and quick-twitch athleticism to work with as Brown continues to develop.

Paczkowski was a player that stood out by showcasing a rather simple, but extraordinary under utilized skill at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. The 5'11" guard from South Bend Career Academy consistently fed the post effectively which has become a bit of a lost art. His overall passing ability shined throughout the event. He was also very willing to crash the offensive glass from the perimeter. Hard nosed player that did a lot of little things to help his team.

This 5'11" guard from Elkhart High School came down to the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and played very well against the best of his peers. Peak Jr. knocked in a corner three-point shot during 5-on-5 play and had a couple of strong drives into the paint against closeouts. He was effective throughout the event as a scorer and was really comfortable with the ball in his hands. One to watch up in northern Indiana over the coming years.

There was some impressive size at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase with this 6'6" center from Carroll (Fort Wayne) High School being one of standouts. The big left-handed post player was good on the roll, scored it over his right shoulder, and moved well to maintain spacing as the ball was driven. His rebounding ability shined on both ends of the floor as well. Murphy is definitely an intriguing young post prospect to continue to watch as he develops.
