Ohio's Top Available 2025 PF's

We're going through position by position with the top available players in Ohio's 2025 class and we've arrived at the power forwards, in this article we'll break down five top power forwards college programs need to know.    One of the most talented players to come through southeast Ohio in the past few seasons, Roberts has physical tools you cannot teach. It makes sense as his dad was drafted in both the NBA and MLB drafts. For Roberts, consistency will be the key for him as he has the ability to take over games when it's all clicking. He went through a roller coaster grassroots season where on his best days, he looked like one of the top wing forwards in the state. It'll be interesting to see if things click for Roberts in college but before he heads there, he has a chance to lead South Webster to a deep playoff run.     We already covered his Louisville and Gurus of Go teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1540136' first='Beau' last='Siegfried'] in a previous article on top available point guards and now it's time to spotlight Gross. An athletic power forward who plays an old-school style of play with his physicality and ability to use craftiness in the paint. Also able to throw down dunks in transition and off alley-oops, Gross has a skillset that has become prioritized by some of the top regional Division II programs. I expect Gross to make an impact at that level sooner rather than later if he winds up in the GMAC or a similar level conference.     Niekamp will play a mix of the four and the five at the college level and his floor spacing ability would allow him to play next to another big. It's not often you'll find prospects with Niekamp's ability to shoot it at his size from a small-town program. Playing in a physical conference with lots of football athletes banging in the paint, I want to see Niekamp really dominate as a senior and boost his scoring and rebound numbers from where they were as a Junior. If Niekamp can do that, Marion Local should once again be one of the top small-town teams in Ohio and Niekamp should see his recruitment expand.     [program_tooltip program_id='2078667' first='TNBA' last='']-Ohio had a ton of small college prospects and their games were filled with Division II, III and NAIA coaches when I saw them play. Maybe their most talented long term piece was Dammons who got some buzz as a rising freshman and then battled injuries to make an impact at the varsity level. After finding his footing as a Junior, Dammons continued that momentum on the grassroots scene with his size, change of pace and faceup ability was unique for a wing forward. Dammons would be comfortable playing the three or the four at the college level depending on the fit and could have a big senior season for a Brush program that's sent a ton of players to the college level under Chet Mason.     Another [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] prospect featured in this series, Platfoot is another athletic power forward who can faceup and play on the perimeter as well. I was impressed with Platfoot's ability to play against top competition this summer with the Buckets as he fit in well with their EYCL group as a guy who did the dirty work and occasionally burst out as a scorer. I'll be interested to see where Platfoot ends up as he could be interesting to scholarship programs playing a similar role that he did this summer.
