Newby is prospect who plays the game with poise. He handles the ball well and has great court vision, where he looks to get his teammates involved. He is a smart player who just plays the game right. Where this freshman can really hurt you though is with his smooth lefty stroke from the outside. Newby has great form on his jumper. He has a solid mid-range game, and is a deadly shooter from behind the arc. This PG is one to keep an eye on over the next few years as he continues to develop his game.

This long, athletic prospect has a lot of upside. He has great size and length for a freshman and and plays the game hard each time he steps on the court. The 6'5" SF has a tremendous 1st step and likes to get to the rim with his quickness and athleticism. Collins is able to finish around the rim with either hand and has the ability to absorb contact. He creates mismatches on offense and defensively he is able to guard any position 1-5. Collins has the ability and upside to make some noise as a freshman, and become a high-level prospect down the road.

You can just tell this 5'11" PG loves to play the game each and every time he steps on the court. Whisler has an excellent basketball IQ and is a tremendous passer, which make him a true floor general. He loves to get his teammates involved, but is also a very capable scorer himself. He has great handles which allow him to create his own shot, but can also beat you from deep, where he shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate. Whisler's love of the game and hard-working mentality make him a prospect worth following as he continues to grow his game and mature as a player.

Thompson was one of my favorite prospects at the Freshman Showcase this past August. He plays the game hard and with energy, and did a little bit of everything each time he was on the floor. He is an aggressive defender who won't back down from any assignment, and is able to guard multiple positions. He is a great rebounder from the guard position on both ends of the floor, and likes to push the ball and get out and run. Offensively he has the ability to score inside and out, and has knack for attacking the basket and finishing at the rim with contact. Thompson has a lot of upside and as he matures his game could become a high-level prospect.

Mott has a unique skillset and is a mature prospect for being only a freshman. He is an extremely smart player, who almost acts as a coach when he is on the floor. At 6'6" Mott has an excellent touch from the outside, where he shoots the ball very well. He is aggressive on the boards and rebounds the ball very well on both ends of the court. He is quick off the floor where he is able to capitalize on second-chance points. Defensively, his size and versatility allow him to guard multiple positions and be a real factor on D. Mott has tremendous upside and should be on everyone's radar for years to come.
