The first 2027 class rankings by Prep Hoops Illinois have been released. This is one of the most anticipated classes in recent memory and they certainly lived up to it over their first high school and grassroots seasons. Here we dive into the rankings in 2027 Rankings: PG/Combos Stock Risers!

[player_tooltip player_id='2323613' first='Demarco' last='King'] (TF North)

Current Ranking: #19

This sophomore guard is making the move over from King to TF North for his sophomore campaign. He played up on the grassroots circuit multiple age levels where he was productive. As a freshman at King he averaged double digit points and near five dimes a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125641' first='Jamier' last='Montgomery'] (Crane)

Current Ranking: #20

Montgomery flew a bit under the radar last year, but is primed for a big season with Crane. He showed a lot of that at the recent Sophomore ID Camp. Tough layup maker that has great speed off the bounce. Passes with flair and flashes potential as a shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2455378' first='Ed' last='Williams'] (Lindblom)

Current Ranking: #21

Williams is a smaller lead guard that had a great close to the summer when we saw him with the Fire put on a show! Shifty ball handler that has the ball on a string and can set others up with his passing when he gets dribble penetration. Also showcased his ability to hit the long ball late in the summer at The Last Dance in a monster scoring performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='2383925' first='Dariontez' last='Monroe'] (Sparta)

Current Ranking: #22

Monroe is a favorite of ours from southern Illinois that just gets the job done. The long and angular lefty from the 618 is so slippery with the ball in his hands. Wins off the bounce and maneuvers his body to get scores at the rim. Speed in the open floor. Active on ball defender that impacts with his anticipation and active hands. Flashes as a shooter which can continue to improve.

[player_tooltip player_id='2535570' first='Alexander' last='Enyedi'] (Wheaton Academy)

Current Ranking: #49

Enyedi was one of the breakout performers from the Prep Hoops Sophomore ID Camp. He is a speedy guard that presents good handles getting where he wants. Burst with the rock in his hands pushing in the open floor for scores in the paint and winning off the dribble in the half court.
