[player_tooltip player_id='2341338' first='Ty' last='Tabales'] holds the title of top ranked Combo Guard in New England. The big, playmaking guard from the New Hampton School was a stock riser this summer with the Middlesex Magic. After proving to be a versatile scorer, heady facilitator, and lockdown defender, he's now a Top 10 prospect in New England.

Mauristhene, a big combo-guard at South Kent, is an impressive open floor athlete that can impact a game on both ends of the floor. He's in control as a lead guard, making good decisions in ball-screens and pushing the pace in transition. He has good burst off the bounce, is an acrobatic finisher in the paint, and does a good job of knocking down open three's off the catch. Defensively, he's an impressive shot blocker for his size, showing impressive chase down speed in transition and regularly challenging opposing players at the rim. He has quick hands and quick feet, allowing him to be a solid on-ball defender that generates plenty of steals and deflections. He should only continue to get better this season as he faces high level competition in games, and practices, at South Kent.

Waters, a big time scorer at Xavier, will look to prove he's one of the top underclassmen in Connecticut this winter. Another big combo guard, Waters does a great job of creating space off the bounce. He's shifty, changes direction quickly off dribble moves, and does a good job of keeping his dribble alive until he gets to his scoring spots. He's already an advanced isolation scorer at the top of the key, utilizing his feel for the game and pace to keep defenders off balance. He can score at all three levels and impresses with his ability to create his own shots. Defensively, he has impressive length and can really guard the ball in space. He does a good job of moving his feet laterally and impresses with his ability to jump passing lanes. He should be a standout this winter and could grow into one of the region's top scoring combo guards.

White, a heady combo guard out of the Taft School in Connecticut, is another creative scorer than can get his own with the ball in his hands. He does a good job of keeping his center of gravity low, allowing him to quickly burst out of his dribble moves. He operates well in ball screens, doing a good job of balancing hunting his shots and finding hard rollers going to the rim. He's a capable passer off the bounce, does a good job of spotting up off the ball for catch and shoot opportunities, and can finish over length in the paint with an array of floaters. Defensively, he shows a high IQ and grittiness on that end of the floor. He's tough on the ball, willing to give up his body for his team, and is the first to the floor for loose balls. He'll have a chance to prove himself in the NEPSAC this winter and should be on the radar of college coaches going forward.

Goode, another product of Connecticut, plays his high school ball at Fitch and has developed a reputation as a gifted scorer and playmaker. He can operate on or off the ball with equal success, showing a good understanding of what's needed for his team to be successful. He does a great job of using his jab step and shot fake to keep defenders off balance and has a quick first step when trying to get into the paint. He elevates nicely into his jumper off the bounce, and does a good job of getting his feet set and exploding into his shot behind the perimeter. He's a gifted scorer that shows signs of being a dynamic creator down the line. Defensively, he's another gritty and competitive, point of attack defender. He moves his feet well, hounds opposing ball handlers, and quickly turns defense into offense in transition. He'll team with the next guy on this list to form one of the best underclassmen backcourts in New England this winter.

Robinson showed out as a sophomore at Fitch, proving to be one of Connecticut's top scorers. He's efficient in the halfcourt and electric in transition, utilizing his speed and quickness to make an impact on the game as both a scorer and facilitator. He's not afraid to seek out contact in the paint and does a great job of utilizing floaters to finish over length around the rim. He can change directions quickly and does a nice job as a passer of finding cutters going to the rim. Defensively, he proved to be a standout on-ball defender, with impressive hands and great lateral movement, he's one of the top steal generators in the class. He gives great effort on that end of the floor and can turn defense into easy offense in the blink of an eye. Combining with Goode, he forms one of the top up and coming backcourts around and should have Fitch in contention for a title this winter.
