2024 Oklahoma Freshman Showcase Preview

This event looks to allow incoming freshmen to show their talents in front of several Prep Hoops scouts as well as college coaches. He is shifty and controls the pace of the game well. Nelson can score from all three levels but prefers to attack the rim. He has a good shooting form and rarely is affected by contests off of close-outs. He runs the court well in transitions and has great vision as he can find open teammates consistently for easier looks. Buckingham also has impressed with his athleticism while driving into the lane. He rarely gets out of control and can finish with either hand. He makes a large impact both on offense and defense by being a non-stop mover. When he has the ball in his hands, he handles pressure well and creates clean looks for himself as well as his teammates. His shooting form is pure and quick which allows him to take and make tough shots from all over the court. He moves well and does a great job of reading defenses to get the best look possible. His form is near perfect as he puts great height on shots and can hit from anywhere past half-court. He's also a leader on defense and communicates well with his teammates.
