A light on his feet combo guard, who is dangerous off the bounce. Has grown to 6’3, making him even more dangerous when driving. Capable of getting all the way to the rim, or scoring floaters over taller defenders. Mix in three point shooting, and he’s a player who should thrive playing off his skillful point guard teammates. Murchison has the potential to be a smooth multi-level scorer, and his production is starting to match that potential.

Murchison first caught the eye when he hit a deep three late in the first to cap a run and force a timeout from the opposition. Despite the timeout, he wasn’t cooled off as he was flying around and causing havoc on defense immediately out of the break. He helped trapped and forced a steal. He kept that energy and athleticism going throughout the contest. Popping up with key rebounds and deflections late. While forcing steals and even showing the explosiveness to block a shot as well.

Murchison played with a good pace, rarely looking out of control. Good “hesi’ moves and other ballhandling moments to freeze defenders. Which created driving lanes or allowed him to pull up off the dribble. Even knocked down some from distance. Well round guard, with good potential as a dynamic scorer. Part of a very promising youth movement for Edmond Santa Fe, with hopes the future is now.

Murchison is a lethal 3 point shooter who was able to make the defense pay when they did not close out properly. He does not get affected by defenders closing out and can rise up above defenders to knockdown shots. He has a tight handle and was able to get to the paint, finishing at the rim once teams tried to take away the 3.
