We released our updated Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings right at the end of June. That was a very busy period of time fresh off of the Charlie Hughes Showcase and heading into the July grassroots season. Due to the busy schedule at the time, we at Prep Hoops Indiana feel like our rankings content, generally some of our most popular, didn't get the attention that it deserves. Therefore, we will spend this quieter period in August to revisit our rankings content beginning here with the Class of 2027. First, we will simply re-releaseed the Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings themselves. Now we have turned our focus to other content including additional summer stock-risers, new names, under-the-radar Watch List prospects, and much more. Here are eight prospects on the Watch List that you need to know heading into their sophomore seasons.

This 6'6″ Class of 2027 prospect has some really intriguing long term potential. Bangs has flashed some pick-and-pop ability and will continue to see rapid improvements in his game as he develops physically and gets stronger. There certainly were some signs of what he can become through this spring and summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] 2027 who was a consistent top performing team on the Prep Hoops Circuit along with the UA Rise Circuit. This Western High School forward will be a fun one to follow over the next few years.

One of the more talented pure scorers from this spring and summer in Indiana's Class of 2027, Burks will have a chance to carve out a role as a sophomore for the Kokomo Wildkats. The 6'1" guard can get hot from beyond the arc, does a good job of creating separation to get his own shot, and has enough downhill burst to go finish at the rim. Definitely one to watch from the current Watch List and a name that could eventually play his way into the rankings as they continue to expand.

Morristown High School struggled this past season, but there still aren't many freshmen in the state of Indiana that stepped in right away and led the varsity team in scoring. Crim did that averaging 10.8 points per game for the Yellow Jackets while connecting on 53 three-point shots. His strong play continued into the spring and summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='2144117' first='Midwest' last='Stars'] showcasing his skills at a handful of Prep Hoops Circuit events. As Crim continues to develop physically and grow he should really blossom into a player to watch. The skill level and shooting ability are already there.

One of the more productive freshmen in the state last season at Parke Heritage High School, Crum has flown under-the-radar a bit despite his, and his team's, success. The 6'4" forward was one of the top freshman rebounders averaging 6.7 per game to go along with 9.2 points. He is strong around the basket, a high-percentage finisher, and plays with a non-stop motor on the glass. With Parke Heritage returning so much and once again expected to be a top team in Class 2A, expect Crum to be a name we hear more about this winter.

Despite playing up a year through the spring and summer with INB Elite 16u, the younger of the Ford brothers consistently held his own against older competition. He is a talented creator with the ball in his hands, makes some tough shots off of the dribble, and never backs down on the defensive end of the floor. Definitely a Watch List name here in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 rankings to continue to monitor as he develops at Brebeuf Jesuit.

We certainly were aware of Fuller coming out of the high school season where he averaged 8.2 points and 3.1 assists per game as a freshman for Liberty Christian. The super quick, playmaking point guard continued his strong play into the spring and summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] on the EYBL circuit. Fuller is excellent playing off of ballscreens showcasing good pace and overall processing for his age. He is a very good and willing passer to go with what he can do as a shot-creator for himself especially at the end of his drives or in the mid-range. There is a lot to like about his game and has already started to prove it at a high level. Likely will jump into our rankings as soon as the expand any further beyond the Top 25.

Hegwood was a starting point guard at the Class 4A level as a freshman. There aren't too many prospects in the Class of 2027 that can say that across the state of Indiana. He scored 5.1 points per game and was one of the assist leaders among freshmen in the state at 3.5 per game. The Roncalli product is a great ball handler, has the necessary vision to make any pass on the floor, and is a very willing playmaker for others. His play in the backcourt was a big part of [program_tooltip program_id='2400093' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Tradition'] winning the 15u title at the Adidas Gold Championships.

One of our personal favorites here at Prep Hoops Indiana, Kaegi really stood out at the Puma Pro16 Circuit event in Lebanon earlier this spring. He is an outstanding shooter, creates his own shot well off of the dribble, and has the necessary athleticism to get up and finish at the end of his drives. As he continues to get bigger and stronger his game will only blossom further. Everything about his skill level currently screams future college player and the overall package is very projectable to the future. He has the chance to develop into one of the better Class of 2027 guards in The Region.
