Portland State held its annual elite camp this past Friday and many of the state's top players came ready to play. It was a solid afternoon of action at the Viking Pavilion and we had the opportunity to watch much of the competition. After looking at our own notes and talking to others who also observed, here's a look at some of the top forwards/posts that participated.

[player_tooltip player_id='1919365' first='Matthew' last='Beatty'] (2025 Roosevelt) - his development continues as he played about the best we've seen him play. ran the floor, hit the boards, held his ground defensively, and showed a nice touch on his face-up jumper - including hitting a three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1662767' first='Kevin' last='Benson'] (2025 West Linn) - was very aggressive offensively, looking to attack the basket and draw contact. ran the floor and finished in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368253' first='Anthony' last='Best'] (2025 Sprague) - started off playing with a team filled with lesser named players but got switched after really doing well. showed off a great motor and finished at the rim in transition. super actively defensively and on the boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2080025' first='Jack' last='Clarke'] (2025 Lakeridge) - often faced the basket but was strong down low, getting a number of strong putbacks. appeared to be one of the top rebounders and shot blockers at camp. ran the floor well to either receive the outlet pass or get back on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132783' first='Damian' last='Olvera'] (2027 Tualatin) - was active getting to the hoop and finishing around the hoop. had good energy that led to a number of defensive rebounds and getting the team into transition mode.

[player_tooltip player_id='2026063' first='Alarion' last='Scott'] (2027 Oregon City) - had a number of nice acrobatic finishes in the lane. really ran the floor on the break and was rewarded with some easy buckets. did well on the boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604657' first='Liam' last='Rigney'] (2026 Lake Oswego) - didn't get a ton of touches so created offense by showing good hustle. was active on the boards on both ends and his scrappiness led to some eays scores.

Jack Tycast (2026 West Linn) - played hard and fought for rebounds and loose balls. seemed to have a pretty good touch on his face-up jumper.
