Team 5

[player_tooltip player_id='2524096' first='Rashad' last='Smith'] - 2029 - Brooklyn Center Middle - Smith may have been the best guard at the MS Camp. The five-foot-five-inch Smith dazzled with his speed and quickness that enabled him to score often. Head up in transition to push pace that defenders didn't seem ready for. Smith's size didn't stop him on defense making plays and playing strong. Smith's area of improvement will be consistency on his jump shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='2387926' first='James' last='King'] - 2029 - Lakeville South - King is a five-foot-nine-inch guard that played AAU with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075681' first='Minnesota' last='Magic']. King was effective off the ball catching on the wing and getting to the center of the floor. King was most effective passing and finding teammates in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2521880' first='Ike' last='Stifter'] - 2029 - Falcon Ridge Middle - Stifter is a five-foot-three-inch guard that played AAU with South Metro Elite. Stifter showed good patience as a point guard, handling the ball, running screen and roll, and finding teammates even when getting into the paint. Stifter's paint touches were very effective. Stifter shooting motion looks solid, and he was able to connect from beyond the arc nicely.

[player_tooltip player_id='2442107' first='Max' last='Martinez'] - 2029 - Oakland Middle - Martinez is a five-foot-ten-inch forward that played AAU with [program_tooltip program_id='2412152' first='East' last='Metro Wave']. Martinez played under control, and showed good basketball intelligence. Shared the ball effectively, ran the floor, and had good reaction times on defense deflecting passes. Martinez finished strong at the basket and got out into transition early and often.

[player_tooltip player_id='2455802' first='Cobe' last='Blades'] - 2029 - [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] 2029 - The five-foot-five-inch Blades consistently made plays on the offense and defense sides. Good ball handler, always looking to push pace, and sniffed out steals on multiple positions. Blades was able to knock down a couple 3-pointers and his ball rotation looked pretty good. Improvement area would be as he gets older and stronger to have a higher release point.

Small stature didn't stop Gardner from making his presence felt. Effective with the ball in his hands, patient attacker to give himself uncontested chances at scoring. Solid speed and quickness, still early in development for growth and strength.

Messmer ran the floor in transition to give teammates open passing lanes to find him. Messmer was able to handle the ball in the open floor, and could be guard as he grows and matures.

[player_tooltip player_id='2521685' first='Tristan' last='Latimore'] - 2029 - Ordean East Middle - Latimore is a five-foot-nine-inch player from Duluth who played AAU with [program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite']. Latimore is a decent athlete, and seemed to find ways to impact the game without the ball in his hands. Latimore's jump shot seemed OK fundamentally and he had no trouble staying in front of opposing players.
