<p>Prep Hoops Missouri released its newly updated Class of 2027 rankings this week. We start our positional rankings with a look at the top point/combo guards in the new rankings.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2334901' first='Chase' last='Branham'] (Logan Rogersville): A 6'4" point guard who was one of the big impact freshmen in the state last season as he led Rogersville to a third-place finish in the state tournament. He has the size and skill along with a tremendous feel for the game. As a freshman, he averaged 18 points, three rebounds and three assists a game while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range. He enjoyed a big summer playing for KC Run GMC during the summer. He's a high-level prospect who has already received an offer from Mizzou.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2334930' first='Brandon' last='Rooks'] (Battle): A 6'0" point guard who is one of the top young prospects in the Mid-Missouri area. He was able to come in and be a factor as a freshman on a Battle team that was full of quality guards. He is an excellent 3-point shooter, but he can also slice in the lane for layups and runners in the lane. He plays the game at his own pace with his poise and high basketball IQ.</p>

He has a high basketball IQ and he can also play the game fast or he can slow the tempo down. He can keep defenders off balance with his change of pace game to either get into the lane or hit the pull up jumper. He also distributes the ball well. He averaged 12 points, three rebounds and three assists a game as a freshman.</p>

He is a three-level scorer with extended range shooting range past 3-point line. He is also fearless on the drive and he has the creative handles to get his own shot. He averaged seven points a game as a freshman. He had a strong summer playing for the Gateway-Knights 15U squad.</p>

He has the quickness to be a one-man press breaker and he distributes the ball very well. He is also a capable offensive player at all three levels. He averaged 13 points and three assists a game last season while also shooting 41 points from 3-point range.</p>

He is deft passer who can slip dimes to open teammates from a variety of angles. He averaged five assists a game as a freshman. He is also a potent offensive player who averaged eight points a game as a freshman, which will definitely increase this season.</p>

He raised his level of play during the summer and was one of our biggest stock risers.</p>

<p>Ledon Webb (Hayti): A 6'0" point guard who is now at Hayti after spending his freshman season at Poplar Bluff. He is a physically built guard who can use his strength to muscle into the lane to make plays. He also has perimeter shooting range that extends well beyond the 3-point line. He was one of the top players for SEMO United's 15U team that was undefeated on the Prep Hoops Circuit.</p>
