More Observations From Hazel Park Open Gym

I noticed immediately that he was talking on defense. Sounds simple, but not enough players do it. He played help defense and rotated quickly and smoothly. I liked his offensive discipline and patience. Jones liked to finish at the rim, but was smart in doing so. The highlight in his game for me was his willingness to pass and swing the ball and then work hard away from it by relocating. Brown got good looks at the rim just by beating defenders to open spots. He was very active on the glass. Riley didn't just rebound, but he went up high making him play much bigger than his height. He showed off a quick first step and the ability to get downhill with the ball. He seemed at his best when attacking the rim off the bounce. Wise went at the bucket with his head up, seeing the entire floor and looking for the pass to an open shooter or cutting teammate.
