Due to his consistent effort, [player_tooltip player_id='2139970' first='Dean' last='Lewis'] was by far my favorite prospect to watch this past weekend. Also a prominent cross-country and track runner at Walled Lake Western, he showed his stamina throughout the showcase by sprinting back on defense and running the floor to get easy looks. In addition to his motor, Lewis also displayed a soft touch around the basket and the ability to shoot from the perimeter while being able to facilitate off the dribble.

Nobody brought more energy to the gym than [player_tooltip player_id='2433938' first='Drew' last='Aagesen'] throughout the showcase on Saturday. The big man from Goodrich was doing it all from hitting 3s to eating the glass to hyping up his teammates. His natural guard skills paired with his size and frame make Drew an extremely interesting 2027 prospect who should make a huge jump in the upcoming rankings shuffle.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140469' first='Ben' last='Geerdes'] was one of the higher basketball-IQ players in the gym on Saturday. Even though he didn't put up insane stats this weekend, he moved extremely well off the ball, which either put himself in a position to score or open space for his teammates. I am always impressed with kids who are willing to defer to others and still have a big impact on winning. After a big summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2166963' first='NorthCoast' last='Premier'], look for Ben to continue to develop nicely along with the extremely talented underclassmen group at Caledonia.

Smith was one of the better on-court communicators I watched at the showcase. Out of all the intangibles, I would consider being a great communicator the most impactful as well as the most rare to find among players today. Specifically, Jeremiah was doing everything from talking through screens on the defensive end to directing traffic on offense. I am excited to see how the Wayne Memorial guard progresses throughout the upcoming prep season.
