Lewis does a lot of things well and possesses great positional size for a wing guard with his skillset. Lewis is more than comfortable playing on or off the ball and provides his team with a true three level scoring option that allows him to work with all sorts of different lineups and matchups. He was aggressive in transition in this one but never truly out of control, he attacked the basket with purpose with a head of steam. This Legacy team has a lot of interesting pieces on their roster and Lewis does a great job fitting in amongst the group while shining in his own way. He can operate out of ball screens, dominate smaller guards with his back to the basket, or exploit a big off the bounce when they switch onto him. He uses his vertical pop to help protect the rim and is really looking to showcase his overall two way game this spring/summer. Lewis will have next level programs seeking him out over the course of the season as his production, skill, and physical gifts are pretty undeniable.

Lewis battled through high level defenders for about a dozen points against Clarkston. He was pretty slick with the ball and was able to get his man in a tough spot and touch the paint. Lewis showed off an athletic mid range jumper with touch. I really liked a soft jumper that he layed off the backboard.

Lewis is a player that I’ve been very high on for some years now. He’s a true student of the game. The kind of player that I feel like could drop 25 on any given night, but instead wants to play winning basketball. If a W depends on him getting buckets, he’ll get them. But if a W requires him to distribute and defend, you can bet that he’ll do it.

I’m a huge fan of guards that can play defense from behind. Lewis did just that. An opponent had created a lane and Lewis stepped off his man and blocked the finish attempt from behind.

Dean puts his lanky frame to good use, finishing his shots high and making them nearly impossible to contest. On the other end, Lewis is able to challenge most looks effectively.

Lewis is a terrific talent that could draw a lot of eyes on his game. He sure did last year at the Sophomore ID Camp, where I would say that he was one of the best in the gyn. Lewis moves well with and without the ball and can slide into a change of direction with ease. He just seems to play the game ‘the right way’.

Lewis was one of the most underrated players in the state. Until he came to a Prep Hoops event and showed out. He might even still be underrated. Lewis is just an excellent basketball player. He’s an athletic playmaker that can go get a bucket, but will do it in an efficient manner. Lewis could put the state on notice at The Expo.

Lewis has been on a tear since last fall and he would for sure get a call from me. He’s an athletic guard that can glide into a change of direction. Lewis can get downhill and make plays on the offensive end. Best part is, these plays are almost always unselfish and good decisions.

Lewis has been on a run really since the Sophomore ID Camp last year. He’s had a very impressive spring with Legacy Basketball. Lewis is a versatile guard that can attack both with and without the ball. This spring he’s shown a recognition of mismatches and the ability to work off of them.

Standing at 6’5, Lewis used his size and length to defend the paint for Legacy in their Friday night matchup with Crafted Basketball. On the offensive side of the ball Lewis was able to use his size to create space down low and get to the rim. While also being able to box out opponents and snatch boards to create offense and second chance opportunities.
