Top Player(s): [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary']/[player_tooltip player_id='2267046' first='Jason' last='Gardner Jr.']

Fishers returns several key players from last year's state championship roster that many are excited to see back as they look to repeat. You could make a strong case that the most important returners out of the bunch happen to still be two of their youngest players, 2027 guards [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2267046' first='Jason' last='Gardner Jr.'] Both of these incredible young guards had to really mature in front our eyes last season. However, they more than took on that challenge and were a big reason as to why Fishers was able to go 29-1 and win the Class 4A State Championship. Zachary returns his 7.4 points and 3.7 assists per game while Gardner Jr. brings back 7.1 points and 2.4 assists per game. The combination of these two guards make for one of the more dynamic and versatile backcourt pairings you will see in the state. Both sophomores already hold multiple Division I offers. This Fishers team is going to go as these guys go this year, which is why I think they are the most important players for the Tigers. These two have a chance to be the best backcourt in the entire state next season and for years to come.

Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='1297069' first='Justin' last='Kirby']

Naming this Division I prospect as a potential breakout player feels a little bit cheating as we already know by this point just how special [player_tooltip player_id='1297069' first='Justin' last='Kirby'] is as a player, even making a case as the best player for this year's Fishers squad. Kirby really had his breakout during the AAU season this past summer which saw him pop up on the radar of multiple Division I programs due consistently high-level, two-way performances nearly every time he stepped on floor. For this upcoming season, who is to say that Kirby could not breakout even more than what he already has done? Kirby has been one of our major stock-risers in the 2025 class due to his elite athletic ability, explosiveness around the rim, and constant improvement towards becoming a complete scorer. He is also one of the best defenders you will see from the guard position in the state. While signs indicate he will be closing in on a college decision sooner than later, Kirby has a chance to raise his stock even more this season and will likely be in contention to become an Indiana All-Star.
