Over 80 freshmen made the trip to Louisville on Saturday to compete with many of the best players from across the state in this 2028 class. There were several names that have been known for a while coming into the event but plenty more who made names for themselves at camp on Saturday afternoon. Here's a look at the top overall performers from the event.

Lindsay provided the most highlights of the day with his explosive finishing. Whether it was elevating to block shots during 3 on 3 or dunking with authority in 5 on 5, Josh had an impressive day, all around. There is a very high ceiling for Lindsay based on development but he also has a high floor thanks to his God given gifts.

Saturday was my first chance to get a long evaluation of Mitchell and he delivered. Jordan has a smooth game and is very comfortable getting downhill with the ball in his hands. He showed a high IQ as a playmaker and didn't take a ton of bad shots in an event that can sometimes become nothing but bad shots. Coach Haworth has a good player in Mitchell and I think he can eventually be a big point guard with his court vision that he displayed.

Jackson may have the most long term upside of anyone in Kentucky. He's long and extremely athletic. Like jump out of the gym athletic. He battles with all of the bigs at camp but also showed some improving skill level and looked more comfortable on the perimeter than when I saw him last. Jordan has a good coach at Holy Cross who will be highly invested in his development. Definitely a long term prospect to watch.

While the three players listed above may have been the most impressive due to their flashiness, Orem was more impressive due to his consistency. Brady is physical and skilled around the bucket and is starting to look more comfortable out past the elbow. In past viewings, I thought Orem was more robotic when he was on the perimeter but he's starting to look like he has a real future as a face up 4 man.

Morguson is super duper skilled. He clearly lives in the gym and works on his game. Conner lacks vertical athleticism in the sense that he's not dunking and playing above the rim but he has a different sort of athleticism that allows for tough finishes at the rim as well as the ability to get his shot off over bigger defenders. GRC has a guard that should have a really good career with his skill set and work ethic.

Terry is a name that I had heard plenty of but hadn't yet seen outside of EKU elite camp a couple of weeks ago and that was hard to get a good evaluation on. Andew (and [player_tooltip player_id='2360951' first='Conner' last='Morguson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2429605' first='Jordan' last='Jackson']) were part of the most impressive team at camp during the 5 on 5 games and obliterated the competition in both games. Terry is a versatile forward who can play both inside and out. Andrew also showed good athleticism to go along with his already ideal size to play the 3/4. Definitely a player who will likely make a big impact as a Freshman.
