Florida Sophomore ID Camp: Eye Catchers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A lot of high-level basketball was played this past Saturday, and I was very impressed with the amount of talent which was on display. This class of 2027 is loaded with prospects and they showed out over the weekend, providing some excellent matchups and games. Walsh is a crafty PG who can lock down on D and rebounds the ball very well from the guard position. He can score in bunches, but what really impresses me is his ability to see the floor and create for his teammates. He was by far the best passer throughout the showcase and amazed me with some of the looks he had throughout the day. Walsh is also like having a coach on the floor. He is constantly talking and giving his teammates advice, but in a positive, respectful manner. His size allows him to guard any position on the floor, but also creates mismatches offensively. He is a big kid who handles the ball very well and likes to attack the basket, but can also hurt you from the outside with his solid mid-range game. Jenkins is listed as a CG but was matched up with bigs for most of the day, and he held his own keeping them off balance and not letting them have their way down low. His strength allowed him to keep the bigs out of paint and do a tremendous job rebounding on both ends of the court. The 6'2" PG has beautiful shot, with a quick release making it very hard to defend against. He might get the ball out of his hands quicker than any prospect I've seen at this age, and along with the rotation he puts on the ball, I would say make him one of the top 3-point shooters in the class of 2027. Duncan is a smart player with great handles and his size and length make him a difficult matchup for opposing defenses. Defensively, his length allows him to have his hands in the passing lane, looking for deflections, and turning defense into offense. Long is a super athletic prospect who plays the game fast but under control. He was blowing past the defense throughout the day and attacking the basket, where he has the ability to finish with both hands. He is a strong kid who can absorb the contact and also capitalize from the free-throw line. Long has a quick first step, but can also stop on dime and change directions or just knock down the mid-range jumper in the defenders face. He's a prospect who takes pride in his defense, who has both quick feet and quick hands, making him a pest on that side of the ball. He seems to have a great understanding of the game, and is an aggressive player, but doesn't seem to force shots. He handles the ball very well for his size, and has good speed where he likes to push the ball, and get out and run. His athletic frame and length make him a difficult matchup, but also allows him to guard multiple positions on the defensive side of the ball. Bhadouria is another prospect with lots of upside, and as he continues to develop should see a big rise in his stock over these next couple years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
