Jenkins has the physical tools to create problems at both ends. His size allows him to finish inside and rebound effectively, while his improving perimeter game forces defenders to respect him away from the basket. He’s becoming more comfortable attacking in transition and expanding his offensive package, making him an intriguing long-term prospect.

The junior played some of his best basketball of the season this weekend for Sarasota High. Jenkins brings good size and strength to the backcourt and showed the ability to impact the game in multiple ways. He proved capable of scoring at all three levels while also serving as a secondary ball-handling option within the offense. Jenkins also held his own on the defensive end, using his physicality and awareness to compete on that side of the floor. With his continued development, expect this prospect’s stock to trend upward over the next 12 months.

Lackaff’s Sarasota teammate, Jenkins is a versatile guard who probably plays off the ball at the next level but has some playmaking ability. He is a more than reliable shot maker and has good positional size and strength. In addition to being a scoring option, Jenkins can pass, rebound and defend which should attract the attention of college coaches over the next 8 months.

Jenkins showcased a unique blend of size and skill to the floor at the Easter Classic, making his presence felt in multiple ways. With a strong frame and guard-like abilities, he consistently took advantage of mismatches, stretching the floor with his shooting and attacking closeouts to get downhill. Jenkins showed off his touch from beyond the arc but didn’t shy away from contact in the paint, crashing the offensive glass and creating second-chance points for his squad. His ability to handle the ball, shoot it with confidence, and bully smaller defenders made him one of the most versatile offensive weapons in the venue.

Jenkins scored a game-high 19 points in the win over Berkeley Prep, but did a number of other things to help his team to victory. The 6’2″ CG can score inside and out, where he has the strength to score inside but also has a smooth stroke from the outside. He handles the ball well and has a great understanding of the game. Defensively his size and strength allow him to guard any position, and also be a big asset on the boards for the Pirates.

Jenkins is a strong-bodied prospect who can do a little bit of everything. His size allows him to guard any position on the floor, but also creates mismatches offensively. He is a big kid who handles the ball very well and likes to attack the basket, but can also hurt you from the outside with his solid mid-range game. Jenkins is listed as a CG but was matched up with bigs for most of the day, and he held his own keeping them off balance and not letting them have their way down low. His strength allowed him to keep the bigs out of paint and do a tremendous job rebounding on both ends of the court. Jenkins is an interesting prospect with a lot of upside and one to keep an eye on as he enters his sophomore year.

Jenkins had a tremendous freshman campaign for the Pirates. The 6’3″ CG is a very talented all-around player, and is a prospect with major upside. His size and strength allow him to guard any position on the floor, and also makes him a huge asset on the boards both offensively and defensively. He has the strong, wide frame of a big, with the skillset of a guard, which makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. He handles the ball extremely well for a player his size, and can score inside with contact, or knock down the jumper with his much improved outside game. Jenkins should be a household name in the area come next season, and really start being known around the entire state.
