With junior guard Johnny Lackaff Johnny Lackaff 6'3" | CG Sarasota | 2027 State #172 Nation FL sidelined by injury, the left-handed sophomore was asked to shoulder a larger offensive role and responded with one of his best performances of the season on Saturday in a narrow loss to Coatesville (PA). Dauer finished with 16 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc while also attacking closeouts to finish at the rim or draw trips to the free-throw line.

The sophomore has positional size, is an above average athlete and has a high basketball IQ. The lefty is a solid open shot maker and can shoulder some of the ball handling and decision making for the Sailors.
