Lackaff showed off his ability to make shots both off the catch and off the dribble. He has deep range on his jumper and also had multiple impressive drives and finishes at the rim. The rising senior plays with toughness, can create his own offense off the dribble and is a player that can help lead his team deep into the Championship Bracket in Rock Hill.

The Sarasota (FL) guard has earned several fans from this event over the last two seasons, particularly with his combination of shooting and playmaking. Johnny truly can play either position in the backcourt because of his prowess as a catch-and-shoot threat, as well as his ability to handle the ball and make others better. Lackaff plays the game with excellent poise and does a great job of dictating pace when he’s on the ball. If given four years in a program, I can easily see Johnny having lots of success in college basketball.

One of the top shooters in gym this weekend, Lackaff had 17 points in a win on Saturday. The Sarasota High School product is effective with and without the ball in his hands and he can create offense off the bounce. He uses screens well, plays with toughness and is an above average athlete. Lackaff also scored 35 points on Friday night.
