Beyond his shot-making, he has the ability to create for others and make plays with the ball in his hands. Lackaff also brings toughness and competitiveness to the backcourt.

While known for his shot-making ability, Lackaff also showcased his ability to create offense off the dribble against two of the state’s top programs. He moves well without the ball, plays with toughness, and displays a very high basketball IQ. Expect his recruitment to gain significant momentum in the coming months.

The area’s top prospect regardless of class, Lackaff has had a strong month and is building on momentum from the spring and summer months. The junior is a high level shot maker, has playmaking ability as a ball handler and plays with toughness. Lackaff has a high basketball IQ, is an above average athlete and has gotten bigger and stronger in the last 12 months. High level programs are already in hot pursuit of the junior from Sarasota.

The Sarasota High School sharp shooter continued his strong senior season with a 26 point game against Archbishop Stepinac (NY). Lackaff is not just a shooter and he proved that against one of the nation’s top teams. The junior was able to attack the rim off the bounce, moves well without the ball and can be a playmaker with the ball in his hands. His toughness and above average athleticism make him one of the state’s top guard in the 2027 class.

Lackaff is establishing himself as one the elite scorers in the state, and a prospect with major upside. He is a strong bodied guard who has a tremendous basketball IQ, and the ability to score from anywhere on the court. Lackaff can score in bunches and shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate.

The sophomore guard from Sarasota has all the tools to be a major prospect, and is producing night in and night out for the Sailors. The 6’2″ PG has great size and strength for his age, and plays the game with a cool and calm demeanor. He has a tremendous basketball IQ, and great court vision which make him a true floor general every time he steps on the court. Lackaff can score from just about anywhere on the floor, and may have one of the smoothest and most efficient 3-point shots in the state.

Lackaff is a SCORER! A legit multi-level scorer, Lackaff can punish you from all over the court as an offensive option. A deadeye shooter from deep, he can also pump fake and drive to the rim for a finish through traffic and does not shy away from harm. He can take a good deal of contact and physicality due to his frame as well. Lackaff has a ton of tricks in his offensive bag as well. He never gets sped up and plays under control, can triple-threat and drive past his defender for a two dribble pull up move, or get all the way to the basket. His three-point shooting impresses as well and he shoots with great confidence. Keep an eye on Lackaff for the rest of the summer as he will surely be moving up rankings as the circuit continues.
