Jamal put together an impressive junior season for Twin Cities Academy as a junior, averaging 26 ppg. At 5'10 he's quick with the ball in his hands, able to maneuver his way to the basket where he's a crafty finisher. Does a nice job of creating space with his quickness, which helps him get shots up over taller guards. Had games of 36 points vs Concordia Academy and 32 points vs St. Paul Washington last season.

Irondale didn't have the best season last year, but Jake was a bright spot for them. He returns as a senior and will look to lead them to bigger and better things this winter. As a junior Jake put up 22.3 ppg, with 4 games of 30+ points. I had the chance to watch Jake a handful of times over the spring/summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] where he was giving defenders problems with his mid-range game. Dedominces can stop on a dime to elevate for a pull-up jumper, and gets good elevation making it difficult to contest when he looks to shoot.

The top returning scorer in Minnesota, Azayah figures to once again put up some big numbers for St. Cloud Apollo. He averaged 33.3 ppg as a junior, twice hitting 50 points against Coon Rapids and Pine City. The 6'2 guard has a long and lanky frame, and changes directions so quickly with the ball making it difficult to stick in front of him. Mixes in shots from just about everywhere on the floor to put up impressive numbers.

Not only did Kam shoot 46% from beyond the arc last season, but he was doing so on such a high volume of attempts. Solomon put up 27 ppg as a junior, including 40 points in a win over Minnehaha Academy in a game I attended. Kam plays with a calm demeanor, and you never really see that change. He could knock down threes on four consecutive possessions, and each time he'll just run back and get set on defense like nothing happened. Combines that shooting touch with good length on the wing at 6'3.

CJ is another player who looks ready to contend for the state scoring title. Returning after a 32 ppg junior season, CJ is capable of taking games over with his versatile scoring ability. Uses his length and handle to work his way to the basket and finish against size, and is so unpredictable looking to pull-up for jumpers from all over the floor. When his jumper isn't falling, he does a nice job of creating for his teammates or drawing contact at the rim to pick up some easy points at the FT line. Started off his junior year with back-to-back 50 point games.

It wasn't uncommon to see Litttlefork-Big Falls breaking 90 or 100 points in games last season, and a big reason for that was the sharpshooting ability of [player_tooltip player_id='2451443' first='Tommy' last='Larson']. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in shooting range, putting up 27.5 points per game during his junior season. He's not just a scorer though, as Tommy put up multiple triple-doubles with some big assist and steal totals.

Brooks is another top contender to lead the state of Minnesota in scoring this upcoming season. The 6'6 power wing can bully defenders on his way to rim, finish explosively, or stretch the floor with his three point shooting. His 32.1 ppg ranked 5th in the state last season, as northern Minnesota teams had a difficult time keeping him out of the paint. He had multiple 50+ point games last season, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him break that mark again as a senior.
