2028 DMV Summer Standouts Pt. 2

Before we roll out our initial 2028 rankings, we'd like to introduce some rising freshman prospects that stood out this summer with their high school and/or grassroots teams. Let's get to it!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2194784' first='Kaiden' last='Argueta'] '28 5'10 PG St. John's</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-The Cadets add another talented young piece to their stable of guards with Argueta, a 2-way PG that impacts the game without needing touches. Scrappy, competitive, assertive- Argueta is a tenacious on-ball and help defender on one end. And a shifty, pass-first PG on the other end that attacks closeouts and gets to the 2nd line of the defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2524398' first='Elijah' last='Hall'] 28 6'1 G Theodore Roosevelt</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Put up 11p 2r 1a 1b 1s in a comeback win over St. Albans during DC Live, showing his versatility as a guard prospect with good length that can handle it well and knock down shots from 18' and in. With good length and athleticism, he's an intriguing prospect to track in the 2028 class </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2194755' first='Ezra' last='Rich'] '28 5'10 PG Digital Pioneers</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Rich LIVES in the paint, has the ball on a string and gets to his spots with ease without being bothered by ball pressure or different size defenders thrown at him. Interested to see how he develops as a table-setting PG that can also score at a pretty high level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2453417' first='Jadah' last='Washington'] '28 5'9 PG Sidwell</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-A ferocious on-ball defender that blows up ball screens, strips bigger defenders on the way up during shot attempts, and gets to 50/50 balls. Washington will need to improve his finishing bag to score over the top of HS bigs, but with his ability to get paint touches and make the correct passing reads-- he should be in good hands.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2542507' first='Eric' last='Green'] '28 6'3 F Sidwell</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Can really shoot it with good size and length as a rising freshman prospect.
