The PrepHoops Oregon Freshman Showcase took place on Sunday morning and many of the state's top incoming high school players were at the Beaverton Hoop YMCA for some high-level competition. This week, we take a look at our scouting notes for each individual roster, breaking down this huge crop of talent player-by-player. Here's a look at Team Eight:

[player_tooltip player_id='2539782' first='Jaylen' last='Mills'] (2028 Central Catholic) - 5-foot-6 pass-first point guard who was one of the quicker players at the event. looked to drive and dish and constantly found the open man, in the halfcourt or in transition. capably showed he could score a little bit on his own as well and nailed a three.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539808' first='Ter'rae' last='Foster'] (2028 Gresham) - 5-foot-8 guard was one of the top shooters we saw on the day. great looking form and it was basically good if he got his feet set, either on the catch and shoot or using the dribble to create space for looks. a capable ball-handler, was able to get out in transition and finish well too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2394548' first='Thomas' last='Carrillo'] (2028 Centennial) - solid all-around guard at 6-foot. got to his spots to catch and hit open shots and was able to get downhill on the break for some scores. good rebounder and defender for his height.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539797' first='Miles' last='Braithwaite'] (2028 West Albany) - one of the smaller guards at the event at 5-foot-5 but didn't play afraid a bit. mixed it up defensively and on the boards on numerous occasions and as a result was able to earn some garbage buckets. good motor and made good decisions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539810' first='Zach' last='Fitas'] (2028 Sunset) - another smaller guard at 5-foot-5, played much bigger than his size. confident shooter from the perimeter with a smooth stroke and was able to hit some contested jumpers. able to put the ball on the floor and attack off the bounce as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539792' first='Luke' last='Read'] (2028 Churchill) - one of the taller players in the event at 6-foot-7, was able to showcase the ability to score both inside and out. attacked from the perimeter to get to the basket but could also face up and shoot. really ran the floor well to get out on the break and finished with the power slam. height and length allowed him to dominate on the boards and block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539809' first='Victor' last='Jackson'] (2028 Reynolds) - long and lanky, played bigger than his listed 5-foot-8 height. a solid shooter but probably more of an all-around scorer, got started knocking down perimeter jumpers but then was able to slash to the hoop for buckets. used length to annoy opposing ball-handlers and sneak into the passing lanes for steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539786' first='Kevin' last='Marin'] (2028 Benson) - small guard at 5-foot-7 played a fundamental style of basketball. knocked down the open shot, looked to make the extra pass, and had good effort on the defensive end.
