This is part two of the Spotlight Skills series from the Rare Footage event at NBN Academy in Wilmington. Here are the rising freshman and sophomores that did something to catch my eye:

[player_tooltip player_id='2364682' first='Kiyen' last='Alexander'] | 5'7 G 2027 [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] HGSL 15U

Alexander's all-around defense was overwhelming at times. He was a menace on the ball, quickly shooting his hands to steal the ball and head the other way for two. He also made plays on the ball like a free safety, rotating from out of his area to pick off long passes in ECP's full court defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2485360' first='Patrick' last='Jajua'] | 6'2 G 2028 [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] Bucks 14U

The lone 14U standout, Jajua was impressive with his overall feel and maturity. He wasn't his team's point guard, but he could've been with the way he made plays for others, on top of scoring. More important than the production, his leadership and communication were vital down the stretch of their first game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436083' first='Doug' last='Layer Jr'] | 5'7 G 2027 [program_tooltip program_id='2428018' first='Sideline' last='Cancer'] MHC 15U

The middy pull-up from Layer Jr was his bread and butter. He showed that he could get to it at any time, whether he was stopping and popping in transition or side-stepping into it. Layer Jr also sneakily came away with a ton of steals that helped get his team out on the break and into one of his jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2427981' first='Eric' last='Scott'] | 5'9 G 2027 Philly Elite 15U

Scott has a real burner from three. He came off the bench in game one and gave his squad a much needed boost by pulling up from deep and shooting off-the-catch. His barrage of threes were instrumental in their come-from-behind win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2421234' first='Shakur' last='Starling'] | 6'2 G 2027 [program_tooltip program_id='2428018' first='Sideline' last='Cancer'] MHC 15U

Although he showed some skill on offense, Starling's rebounding was impressive for a guard. He rebounded out of his area, often snatching the ball away from bigger players. In his second game, he finished with a double-double was the leading scorer due to all of his second chance points.
