Mason was putting in 17u MVP levels of performances on Sunday. Both in the semi-finals and finals games, Mason was in full control from the jump. He came out aggressive in both games, working his way to the basket for some powerful finishes. His shiftiness on the ball allowed him to beat his initial defender consistently, and when he got a lane to the rim he was able to elevate for some explosive dunks and lay-ups over size. There didn't seem to be a single player in either game capable of keeping Mason in front, and it allowed him to put up a combined 42 points and 9 assists in the last two games of the weekend.

Really like the potential that Jayden has on the defensive end moving forward. At 6'4 he has the combination of length and athleticism to defend a multitude of spots, while also posing a threat as a shot blocker. During the game I watched on Sunday he had some impressive moments moving his feet and cutting off the ball against smaller guards, showing the effort and lateral mobility to be a lockdown defender. Offensively he showed above the rim finishing ability in transition, and had no problem playing through some contact to get to the rim in half-court settings.

Willes showed a true "old school" post game running with Billings Elite on Sunday. From the very first possession he was looking to establish deep post position and go to work as soon as an entry pass came his way. Early in the game he had already caught and turned to score on a pair of hook shots. Kept the game simple and used a combination of strength and footwork to create high percentage looks in the paint. Willes showed the touch to finish just about any time he got a clean look at the basket. Also hit a tough turnaround jumper from the corner late in the first half with a hand right in his face.

Gibson stepped up in big ways during the 15u title game. He provided an efficient offensive option who was working for his chances on the offensive glass and with his off-ball activity. He put himself in the right spots at the right times to get high percentage looks around the basket, and showed impressive strength and body control to finish through contact. Also hit a clutch free throw during the 4th overtime period to give his team the lead and the eventual win. Smart player who has a promising combination of size, athleticism, and skill.

Gallatin caught fire in the second half to help lead ETG Midwest past [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] in the 16u semi-finals. The 5'11 guard has in-the-gym range, and was pulling up from just about anywhere within half-court to help put his team in front and close out the game. Coriahnn was active off the ball just working to find pockets of space to catch and shoot, and did a great job of quickly getting squared up so he could get his shot off as soon as the ball came his way. Put up a team high 22 points in a win over [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'].

JJ Sullivan caught fire in the second half of the 17u title game, helping lead his team to a blowout win. The lefty guard nailed a handful of threes within just a few minutes to truly put the game out of reach. Once he got into a rhythm he was just pulling up a couple of dribbles after crossing the halfcourt line, truly showcasing his deep range. He's been a consistent scoring option for [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] this spring/summer, and is able to put points on the board without having to take a large number of shots. One of the best shooters in the state's 2025 class.

Lee will certainly be a prospect to watch in Nebraska over the coming years. The incoming freshman was playing up at the 15u level, helping lead his team to the finals. Though capable of producing as a scorer or facilitator, he was perhaps at his best on the defensive end. He's so quick moving laterally to cut off opposing point guards, and has great instincts/hands to come up with steals. Relentless motor that allows him to play hard the whole game. Offensively found success getting to the rim and finishing, and had some nice kickout passes to his shooters.
