The first of two July live periods swapped into Atlanta this past weekend, and On The Radar was front and center with its always well-populated Elite 32.

A vast list of College Coaches were circling Next Play 360 in Mareitta, where the majority of the marquee action occurred.

From my stopover, here are some guys to "watch" from the action.

[player_tooltip player_id='1639113' first='Alex' last='Young'] | Guard | AJ Bouye Elite 17U (pictured at top)

Certainly been trending upward for some time now, and switching over to Bouye from Norcross Heat for July was an intriguing choice. Plenty of depth on the wing already with this group but Young looked good attacking with even more improved footspeed and a willingness to use his good size near 6-7 to play through contact at the basket. Can flat-out shoot it from deep so putting it on the floor with more authority and using that better foot speed defensively ups his profile as a 2-way guy, poised for a big senior year at Brookwood alongside another rising 2025 Elijah Milliner.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132947' first='Jayvion' last='Nurse'] | Guard | [program_tooltip program_id='2362177' first='Sewer' last='South'] 17U

Love the length as a point guard as he combines a tight handle with long arms and a springy vertical. Has really thrived with Sewer as so many guards have over the past few years with Spencer Dixon, the Sewer guys draw every ounce of talent out of these guys and harness their strengths with high-level motivation. Nurse can handle the ball as your lead man but also get you 20 playing off the ball, the Osborne-product is a big-time stock riser.

[player_tooltip player_id='1719195' first='Kennedy' last='Okpara'] | Forward | AOT 17U

Arrives in ATL from Silverdale Baptist Academy in Chattanooga with a lot of promise, and delivered with AOT after a noticeable June as well with his new teammates at Wilson Academy (Conyers, GA). Hard-charging momentum to get by people facing up from the perimeter and all kinds of length at 6-7 and timing defensively as an affector of shots. No doubt those attractive factors had eyebrows raising along the coaches' seating areas.

Trey Smith | Guard | Georgia Legacy 17U (2027)

Playing up two levels he showed off the maturity in the game to go with some flash and a lot of substance. Be it from three steps past the arc, or getting into the teeth for a slick feed, or taking it all the way for the reverse lay, the fast-rising Kell guard is going to push for big minutes with the 'Horns this coming winter alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2478881' first='Connor' last='Staphylaris'], [player_tooltip player_id='2275439' first='Zach' last='Graves'] and company.

[player_tooltip player_id='2634992' first='Jack' last='Sparks'] | Guard | OTP NXT 16U

Multiple 20+ games in a big weekend for this OTP Puma group. Likes to push pace, has active hands on D, had the 3-pt stroke going all weekend with six treys in one win and seven in another. Was a "spark"-plug off the McEachern bench in June and got his name on radars there as well before transferring to Mays. Plays alongside two other noteworthy backcourt risers in [player_tooltip player_id='1543496' first='Gabe' last='Alterman'] of Mount Vernon and Derrion Hadley of Midtown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1801902' first='Isaiah' last='Langley'] | Guard | [program_tooltip program_id='2076854' first='GA' last='Canes'] 17U (2026)

Playing up with the likes of 2025 studs [player_tooltip player_id='1300718' first='Connor' last='Teasley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1607055' first='Braden' last='Moore'] hasn't deterred Langley from making his own statement. Continuing some good work with Peachtree Ridge from June, he is an athletic finisher who benefits from the sound and unselfish play of guys like Teasley and Moore. The wow moments at the cup draw eyeballs as his game still has time to marinate before a more critical Spring and Summer of '25 for him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2493858' first='Gabriel' last='Jacobs'] | Guard | [program_tooltip program_id='2076900' first='Warner' last='Robins All-Stars'] 17U

Been a large-size fan of Jacobs for a couple of years now, almost effortless athleticism as he often suspends in air for his nice variety of moves. Great loft and release on the jumper, when I first saw him in 2022 with Warner Robins he popped immediately playing with an upperclass bunch, this year it'll be his show as he headlines the Demons following a 22-win season a year ago.

[player_tooltip player_id='2319619' first='Jamarcus' last='Harrison'] | SW [program_tooltip program_id='2076883' first='Stamp' last='Squad'] 17U (2026)

Playing with a mixed squad of '25s and '26s at Elite 32 Harrison continued to impress all those who've caught his act after doing the same with East Hall in June. It's the full arsenal of perimeter and downhill attacking, a cerebral scoring approach. Uses his 6-4 really well and with a year to add to an already good-looking frame this could be a serious rapid riser if he isn't one already.
