Expert Analysis
Miles Masercola | Prep Hoops Scout
Graves had a great weekend with The Georgia Stars EYCL 17u team with his playmaking on full display as his team enjoyed an undefeated 4-0 weekend. Graves has a very high level of confidence in his game and a great blend of vision + instincts to make him a truly high quality playmaker. The lefty can make outside shots, finish at the rim, and uses his super strong frame to bounce defenders off for easy baskets. Graves always has his eyes up ready to make a play which allows his team to generate high quality shots in transition or the half-court. Graves blend of pace, flair, and skill make him a really quality 2027 guard out of Georgia. He should continue to make real strides in his overall game as he’s made real progression since the last time I got to watch him in 2025.

His combination of strength, skill, and IQ makes him a reliable and productive backcourt prospect.

is a sophomore guard who’s making a name for himself on the court. He’s super adaptable, fitting seamlessly into different lineups,. One of the best things about Graves is how he boosts his teammates’ confidence with his keen court vision and the looks he gives them. When he drives to the hoop, he’s a force—strong and determined, and his quick touch around the rim makes finishing look easy.

Graves has built an early reputation as a big time shooter who can score it coming off screens or off the dribble. Playing with a Kell team that features a number of Division one prospects in the backcourt, he’s more of a role player this year. If he gets hot from beyond the arc on day one it could make Kell all the more dangerous.
