This Northern California based team as plenty of talent on the roster. [player_tooltip player_id='2471762' first='Ronnie' last='Selleaze Montano'] recently arrived back in the United States from Mexico back in March. Montano the son of former BYU/Cal State Bakersfield and longtime pro baller Ron Selleaze will attend Salesian in Richmond, CA this coming fall.

Montano plays the game very unselfish from out top. Ronnie really likes to attack the cup especially from the left-side of the bucket. He finds open spots and really hits the gaps well while touching the paint. Ronnie has a very good demeanor on the floor and pass first mindset. He really understands on how to make good reads and never seems to be rattled.

[player_tooltip player_id='1707487' first='Ian' last='Engh'] attends Rio Americano HS in Sacramento. Ian is not flashy at all with his play. He does a nice job of using ball-screens to get by defenders and hitting open jumpers along the way. Ian is a very capable shooter to make shots when you leave him open on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1463264' first='Jonny' last='Collins'] really came to play today in a win over The Club (MA). Collins who attends Coronado HS in Las Vegas, NV has the ability to create his own shot and score buckets in a hurry at times. Jonny scored the rock from all 3 levels today. Collins must get better at times away from the ball with his play. He showed good explosion to get by defenders while showcasing nice body control to the rack.

Siyahe Siaisiai attends Folsom HS in Northern California. Siyahe has had a late growth spurt and still might not be down growing. Still a RAW talent he really challenges shots on the defensive end of the court. Siaisiai has a long and rangy frame that will be worth the watch down the road as he's young for his grade.

[player_tooltip player_id='1707486' first='Marcel' last='Ward'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2268994' first='Nadir' last='Lockhart'] both provided minutes down in the paint for the red and black. Ward was able to challenge shots on the defensive end of the floor while Lockhart manufacture points on putbacks. Marcel moves really well laterally around the court. Nadir plays bigger than his size at times.

PHPS 17 Squad:

This team based out of the Sacramento, CA area has plenty of talent to go around. Guard [player_tooltip player_id='1384823' first='Jaden' last='Spears'] didn't suit up today while Prep Hoops was in attendance. [player_tooltip player_id='2356770' first='Malachi' last='Johnson'] didn't make the trip east to the New Balance Prelude. Johnson attends Inderkum HS.

[player_tooltip player_id='1772927' first='Shabol' last='Barksdale'] left a lasting impression with his game. Barksdale a freakish athlete really brings some bounce to the floor. The left-handed forward who excels on the gridiron at Sacramento HS averaged 11.7 ppg and 10.1 rebounds this past year for the Dragons. Barksdale is a quick leaper who challenges shots and plays extremely active on the glass on both ends of the court. Shabol isn't afraid of the weight room after checking out his frame.

[player_tooltip player_id='2048161' first='Rashawn' last='Inglemon'] is a left-handed sharp-shooter from Monterey Trail HS in Elk Grove. Rashawn had the green light every time the ball touched his hands. He has a quick release from behind the arc and good deal of accuracy to boot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1530543' first='Taylen' last='Goodman'] plays at nearby Inderkum HS in Sacramento. Goodman a wing player was able to slash to the cup and handle the ball in transition at times.

Harper headed to Postgrad Year:

Jayden Harper who runs with the Creators 17U team won't have to leave the west coast next fall for a postgraduate year. Harper a skilled wing player from Notre Dame HS in Sherman Oaks will play at Golden State Prep this fall. Harper has a good shooting stroke from behind the arc and wingspan of 7'0. He does a nice job of popping off flare screens and getting looks. His shot seems effortless at time and very effective.

Headed West:

[player_tooltip player_id='2205813' first='Kofi' last='Asare'] will head west to California next year he told Prep Hoops. Asare played this past season at Utah Prep. Kofi is currently running with Arizona Grind 17U here at the New Balance Prelude. Kofi told Prep Hoops he will be attending Veritas Academy in Ontario, CA this fall. Asare originally hails from London, England.
