We are two weeks removed from DMVlive, and some of the after-effects from this important event are starting to be seen. Here are some players who were my biggest risers after DMVlive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494103' first='Jaquan' last='Womack'] has had a limited role because of the talent PVI has had recently. DMVlive was the perfect chance to show the extent of his skillset, and Jaquan showed out hugely. PVI was missing one of the best players in the country in [player_tooltip player_id='2148767' first='Jordan' last='Smith'], and they rolled out an inexperienced team with a few new players. Jaquan was one of the best players in session one because of his aggressiveness and overall skill. He had a lot of solid finishes and showed off his jump shot. Jaquan is a riser to me, not because his performance at DMVlive will catapult him in terms of the rankings because he's already in the top 15, but he is a riser because he showed off things he hadn't in previous years. This event was a preview for a player who could have one of the bigger statistical jumps in the area heading into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2301294' first='Akim' last='Iscandari'] was one of the best guards in session 2. Akim has been one of the biggest rising guards over the past year and a half, and what he did at a massive event like DMVlive will help his stock rise even more. Akim has gone from being unranked two years ago to averaging 20 PPG and 7.3 RPG against some of the best competition in the DMV. Akim isn't the biggest guy, but is lightning-fast and a great athlete overall. He is a fantastic passer, a terrific slasher, and a pest defensively. Potomac School will be a team watch in the future, and Akim will be one of the best guards in NOVA.

Another PVI Panther who will be a bigger name after DMVlive is [player_tooltip player_id='2612817' first='Colin' last='Byrd']. Colin has been part of the PVI program for a few years, and DMVlive was an excellent opportunity to have some eyes on him. Colin has a portable skillset that coaches love. His ability to play off the ball as a shooter and his length and tenacity on defense are all great. When you have the kind of blue-chip talent PVI always seems to have, surrounding them with three and D guys is extremely important. Colin isn't ranked right now but will find a role in this PVI squad. Colin shot the three at a high level at DMVlive, and his length caused trouble for ball handlers when PVI picked opposing guards up full court. Colin will have a number by his name at some point.

Heading into this summer, I knew Chris Richards had the tools defensively with his athletic ability and size. What was still up for debate heading into this summer was where Chris's jump shot was. Chris shot the ball at a high level in both sessions and even though it wasn't on super high volume, he still showed the massive improvements he had made in that area. He shot 14/21 from three in the seven games Bullis played at DMVlive. Chris will have a bigger role for this Bullis squad, and a 6'5 G/W with elite athleticism and 3+D ability will not be a hard sell to college coaches.

For a good reason, [player_tooltip player_id='1489025' first='Ashley' last='Sims'] picked up a handful of offers at and after DMV live. He was excellent for Riverdale Baptist, especially in session 1. At Ashley's size, he has exceptional skill and feel for the game. His footwork was top-notch, and he had a lot of tough finishes. Ashley can step out and hit the three as well. Ashley was a player I was not familiar with heading into DMVlive, but he was one of the more eye-opening players.
