wrapped up a highly impressive career for PVI. He is someone that I’ve seen get better and better over the past few years, and he was one of the most impactful seniors in the state for private schools. Jaquan has a great motor and is active on both ends. Jaquan is physical and does a great job using his size against smaller players. Jaquan is aggressive when attacking the rim and is a good spot-up shooter. Jaquan was a second-team selection in the WCAC.

has played in 4 straight WCAC titles and has won 3. That in itself is a tremendous accomplishment, and the fact he’s been a major factor in all three wins is that much more impressive. Jaquan was great early in this game, and he, along with

, carried this PVI offense early. Jaquan hit two very timely buckets, one of them being a mid-ranger that stopped a 14-0 Gonzaga run and the other being a deep contested three that pushed PVI’s lead to 6 with 2 minutes left. Jaquan is not new to big moments in the WCAC final, and he again was huge for this team. Jaquan finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

‘s improvement is always something that impresses me. A few years ago, If you would have told me that he was as impactful as a scorer as he is for this PVI team, I’m not quite sure I would have believed you. Jaquan still plays with excellent energy and effort. He is a versatile and impactful defender, and he has become a reliable three-point threat. Jaquan finished with 16 points.

Jaquan was a nice consistent scorer throughout PVI’s big 61-46 win over Georgetown Prep. He hit a lot of shots on the outside off the catch, whether it was outside the perimeter or a step or two inside. Used his athleticism well on the break and in the halfcourt, finished a number of plays with a dunk. The Towson commit attacked the basket strong, seeking out the contact over the big at times to negate the block attempt or draw a foul. Earned MVP honors after his steady game performance.

I talked about what Jaquan did at DMVlive for PVI and how it was a little bit of a coming-out party. Jaquan was fantastic all summer for Team Takeover as well. His aggressiveness and confidence as a scorer have been impressive. He comes into this fall/winter poised to take a massive leap with added responsibility on a PVI team with a lot of new faces. Jaquan also recently committed to Towson, which should be a terrific fit for him.

has had a limited role because of the talent PVI has had recently. DMVlive was the perfect chance to show the extent of his skillset, and Jaquan showed out hugely. PVI was missing one of the best players in the country in

, and they rolled out an inexperienced team with a few new players. Jaquan was one of the best players in session one because of his aggressiveness and overall skill. He had a lot of solid finishes and showed off his jump shot. Jaquan is a riser to me, not because his performance at DMVlive will catapult him in terms of the rankings because he’s already in the top 15, but he is a riser because he showed off things he hadn’t in previous years. This event was a preview for a player who could have one of the bigger statistical jumps in the area heading into his senior year.

‘s stock went way up at DMVlive. PVI was loaded with talent last year, many of which moved on to the next level. Their best player,

, was also out, and Jaquan showed a lot to his game. PVI needed scoring, and Jaquan was aggressive and confident. I’ve always loved Jaquan’s energy; he is more skilled every time I watch him. He has nice size, is a strong finisher, and shoots the ball well. He averaged 19.3 PPG in session one, 13.3 PPG, and 6.3 RPG in session 2.

has shown a lot during the past two weekends. In an increased role, he has shown how talented an offensive player he is. His handle and speed are great for his size, and he has shown his ability to knock down jumpers. He finished with 19 points for PVI in their first game of the day.

-Many misread his competitive fire and how hard he is on himself as something else, and although he is still learning how to channel that energy– Womack makes a positive impact at both ends of the floor almost every time I watch him. A versatile wing that can guard 2-4 well and switch to guard the other 2 spots, Womack has a motor that runs hot. He hits the glass, sacrifices his body for 50/50 balls and isn’t afraid to box out a center to grab the rebound and head the other way. His handle has improved enough to create off the bounce for others, and with a depleted roster around him last weekend– he showed some of the shooting and passing ability that will make him an asset at the next level. Being able to handle the rock in traffic, knock down perimeter shots with consistent form, improve his euro/finesse finishes in the paint, and honing some of the quick touch shots that he gets within 8 feet of the rim will be the next step in his progression.
