The wait is finally over as we have realized our updated class of 2026 rankings in the state of Virginia! We are up to 105 prospects ranked throughout the state in this class, adding over 30 prospects from before.

With all of the new additions, things look much different and will continue to change as players improve and more or less prove us wrong in our initial opinions. With that being said, here's a look at some of the biggest stock risers from the new rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1963526' first='Trey' last='Beamer'] | 6'1” PG | Carlisle

Previous Rank: #50

Current Rank: #11

Beamer was criminally under ranked in the last few rankings, as he's on pace to be the all time leading scorer in the VISAA barring injury. He's been the catalyst of the revival of the Carlisle program, as well as being a top player on Nike E16 Circuit playing with Team United. The 6'1” lead guard is dynamic and athletic with the ability to break down defenders and finish at or above the rim, he has effortless range to score the ball off the bounce or off the catch and he has that takeover ability not many players have.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782689' first='Faron' last='Friend'] | 6'5” SG | Glen Allen

Previous Rank: #63

Current Rank: #19

Friend is coming off a breakout sophomore season for Glen Allen, leading the team in scoring and he's continuing that dominance this spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2248971' first='River' last='City Reign']. At 6'5” Friend has fantastic size for his position with long arms and a ton of natural ability along with big upside as he continues to polish and learn the game. He's a three level scorer who can make tough shots from anywhere, he's really improved on his ability to create shots for himself and others and he has tons of potential as a lock down defender too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767553' first='Trey' last='Fitch'] | 6'5” SG | Fairfax Christian

Previous Rank: #28

Current Rank: #22

Fitch has played on a Fairfax Christian team that has won back-to-back state championships, but they're graduating some of their more seasoned guys and it will be his team moving forward. Another two guard with great size, he knows how to work off the ball to get open and doesn't need much space to get his shot off. He's a lethal shooter from deep with effortless range, he has a great IQ on both ends of the floor and he doesn't force things and lets the game come to him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1963530' first='Marcus' last='Hancock'] | 6'4” SG | John Paul the Great

Previous Rank: #32

Current Rank: #24

Hancock is one of the best shooters in the entire state, bar none, and he's starting to add more to his game as well. Last year at DMV Live Session 1 when we watched him for the first time, he shot a staggering 57% from deep on a healthy number of attempts as well. He has picture perfect form from the feet up, he can shoot it well past the NBA line and he's a smart player who can work off the ball and makes good reads against closeouts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782691' first='Jordan' last='Hunter'] | 6'1” PG | Paul VI

Previous Rank: #41

Current Rank: #25

Hunter has been behind some of the best guards in the state over the last few years, but this summer he's showing that he could have a breakout year. He has that dog in him that you love in a lead guard, as he sets the tone on both ends of the floor and he brings toughness in everything he does. He's quick and dynamic off the bounce, he makes plays for others and has great feel and he can score the ball in a number of different ways too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782685' first='Evan' last='Brown'] | 6'8” PF | Bishop Ireton

Previous Rank: #40

Current Rank: #28

While Brown didn't have the jump we expected when he transferred to Bishop Ireton, there's still no denying the amount of upside to him as a prospect. At 6'8” he has long arms and a frame that should fill out nicely, and he impacts the game in a number of ways even if he isn't scoring the ball. He's a great help side defender who always rotates well and can challenge shots at the rim, he has good touch around the rim and out to the elbows and he is likely still growing and getting more athletic.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252312' first='Justin' last='Jones'] | 6'2” CG | Atlantic Shores

Previous Rank: #61

Current Rank: #51

Jones is starting to come into his own and could see himself move even further up the list if he continues to improve the way he has. The 6'2” combo guard has grown quite a bit and already has a very strong frame, and his work ethic seems very impressive with the way he's improved over the past year. He can get downhill and use his frame to create space and finish at the rim, he has improved in his ability to knock down shots from deep and in the midrange and if he keeps growing he'll be on college radars in no time.
