Now that we've looked at the new additions and stock risers, it's now time to take a look at the positional rankings. We've broken it down into three different categories in guards, wings and forwards.

Here's a look at the top 5 point and shooting guards in the class.

5) [player_tooltip player_id='1782690' first='Silas' last='Devonish'] | 5'9” PG | Bishop Ireton (#9 Overall)

Devonish has been one of the top guards in the WCAC since he stepped in as a starting freshman at Ireton, and he's one of the most fun players to watch in the DMV. While he isn't the biggest guard, Devonish is a dynamic playmaker and scorer who can impact the game on both ends of the floor. He has great speed in the open floor and a quick first step to get by defenders, he can stop on a dime or create space with step backs and hit tough shots from multiple levels and he has the ability to take over games when he gets it going offensively.

4) [player_tooltip player_id='1782686' first='Styles' last='Clemmons'] | 6'2” PG | Princess Anne (#7 Overall)

Clemmons has been one of the best guards in the 757 for the last two years, including winning Region Player of the Year as a freshman, an award typically saved for upperclassmen. He has good size and is a good athlete with the ball in his hands, with the ability to change speeds and turn the corner to get downhill and finish. He's best when he's put in ball screens as he can make good reads and put pressure on the defense, he's improved in his ability to make shots from the perimeter off the bounce and he is a good point of attack defender too.

3) [player_tooltip player_id='1782590' first='Lawrence' last='Brown'] | 5'11” PG | Paul VI (#5 Overall)

Brown comes over to PVI after being one of the top guards in Maryland at St. Andrew's last season, and he'll likely take over the ball handling duty after the Panthers lose five players to high major schools. At 5'11” Brown may not be the biggest guard but he's strong and bullish with the ball in his hands, allowing him to handle pressure and get in the paint to make plays. He has great feel and vision with the ball in his hands, he can create both in isolation and within the flow of the offense, he's a good on ball defender and he scores it efficiently when he needs to.

2) [player_tooltip player_id='2252287' first='Darius' last='Bivins'] | 6'0” PG | Bishop O'Connell (#4 Overall)

Bivins has seen his stock absolutely skyrocket over the past year or so, after being one of the best guards in NOVA public schools last year and killing it this summer on the 3SSB Circuit playing up with Washington Warriors 17U. He's a super talented floor general who can create for himself and others at will, he's shifty off the bounce with a tight handle, he changes speeds well and he can make tough shots from multiple levels. He'll see his stock continue to go up over the next year in the WCAC where he'll have the ball in his hands immediately for O'Connell.

1) [player_tooltip player_id='2148767' first='Jordan' last='Smith'] Jr. | 6'3” CG | Paul VI (#1 Overall)

Smith remains as the top prospect in the state, an impressive feat in a class with four nationally ranked prospects, but he's separated himself both in high school and playing up on the EYBL with Team Takeover's 17U team. There's not a coach on the planet that wouldn't love a player like Smith on his team, as he is the definition of a winner who impacts the game across the board. Smith is one of the best defenders in the country and one of the best I've seen live as a scout at his age, which is young for his grade, as he has long arms, moves well laterally and is extremely active getting deflections and making plays. He's dynamic off the bounce to get downhill and play above the rim, he has great feel and is an unselfish playmaker and he plays with a top tier motor on both ends of the floor.
