Most Outstanding: Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5'10" | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC , Team R/A/C/R
There were a number of outstanding players on display at this year’s event from the scoring of Tyren Martin Tyren Martin 6'3" | CG Page | 2025 State NC on all three levels to the talent of Max Hurt Max Hurt 6'0" | CG Oak Grove | 2025 State NC but nobody was more impressive than Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5'10" | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC for the winning Team R/A/C/R. He was impressive in leading the attack no matter what the score was. He even led his own 9-0 scoring spurt for his squad as they trailed by seven against Team Forsyth. He’s continued to show off his winning pedigree despite still having two more full seasons of high school left to go and continues to hold down the top spot in the 2026 class.
Biggest Paint Presence: Kendre Harrison Kendre Harrison 6'8" | C Reidsville | 2026 State NC , R/A/C/R
Ultimately it came down to R/A/C/R teammates Charles Chienggan Pur and Kendre Harrison Kendre Harrison 6'8" | C Reidsville | 2026 State NC . There wasn’t a more menacing presence in the paint bigger than Harrison all event and it even showed in their deciding-championship game victory over Team Forsyth with his tip-in dunk off a missed layup from a teammate. He’s got room to be one of the most dominant in the Triad and beyond on both the hardwood and the football field for the next few seasons following state championships in both this past season with his cousin, Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5'10" | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC .
Best Defender: Johnniyus Sharpe Johnniyus Sharpe 6'2" | CG Reidsville | 2025 State NC , Team R/A/C/R
Sharpe was the best defender once again in setting the tone for his teammates to follow on Team R/A/C/R. He created numerous fastbreak opportunities for himself and others with his ability to defend and create turnovers on the opposing end. His athleticism and strong frame make it difficult for opponents to adjust, especially when he’s applying pressure fullcourt. He remains a hidden gem in the 2025 class out of Reidsville High and fresh off a 2A State Championship.
Best Rebounder: Amare Robinson Amare Robinson 6'4" | PF Mount Tabor | 2025 State NC , Team Forsyth
Time and time again, Robinson showed off his frame and presence in the painted area with his ability to rebound on both ends of the floor. He always knew where to be when shots went up and did well at positioning himself to clean up the offensive glass as he did on numerous occasions. He showed he was capable of passing out of the painted area to make things happen as well on the perimeter. He’s a 2025 prospect out of Mount Tabor High to keep an eye on.
Best Athlete: Tyren Martin Tyren Martin 6'3" | CG Page | 2025 State NC , Team Guilford
Martin was the Best Athlete for Team Guilford at the Triad First48. He got downhill with consistency and had a number of impressive finishes around the rim and painted area to lead the way. He was responsible for a few rim-rattling dunks which caught my eye at the very least. His ability to play both guard roles were impressive to watch as he kept others involved while showcasing his athleticism. He’s a new face out of Page High to track in the 2025 class with his athleticism and skill set.
Sharpshooter: Alex Waterfield Alex Waterfield 6'4" | SF Bishop Mcguinness | 2025 State NC , Team Guilford
Waterfield was easily the best perimeter shooting presence with Team Guilford at the 2024 Triad First48. He did well to find space and openings on the perimeter to showcase his shooting stroke and efficiency as teammates found him with ease for easy points. He used his length well at 6-foot-4 to rise over defenders and knock down shots with consistency. His shooting was something to marvel at as even his misses looked good. He’s a name out of Bishop McGuinness High in the 2025 class to track.
Floor General: Brady Clark Brady Clark 5'11" | PG South Stokes | 2026 NC , Team Stokes/Surry
A few different floor generals caught my eye and ultimately, it came down to Dalton Johnson Dalton Johnson 5'11" | PG Rockingham County | 2025 State NC (Team R/A/C/R) and Clark with Clark ultimately getting the nod. Clark was one of a few underclassmen at the event but he didn’t show much of his youth as he led the offensive attack for Team Stokes/Surry. He showed he could find others within the flow of the offense while also knocking down shots with efficiency on the perimeter. He’s a point guard to keep an eye on given his ability to impact the game on both ends.
Best Teammate: Dane Cassada Dane Cassada 6'3" | CG Calvary Day School | 2026 State NC , Team Forsyth
Cassada has come a long way in the backcourt and he showed his ability to work as a leader at the guard spot at TriadFirst48. He impressed as he made things look easy much like Camden Edmonds did last year in his blow-up to Converse University. He did well to keep his team flowing and going without ruining their rhythm. He found teammates for buckets as much as they found him and he had fun doing so. He kept a positive attitude/vibe throughout while going 4-1 in their decisive game with Team R/A/C/R in one of the final game sessions.
Best Scorer: Bryson Mickey Bryson Mickey 6'0" | CG Davie | 2025 State NC , Team Davie/Yadkin/Wilkes
This one came down to Max Hurt Max Hurt 6'0" | CG Oak Grove | 2025 State NC s (Team Davidson) and Bryson Mickey Bryson Mickey 6'0" | CG Davie | 2025 State NC . Mickey got the nod given his consistency in the scoring department, showing his ability to control the pace with his “Kyle Anderson” style of play. He did a lot more than score the basketball, but nobody scored the ball as efficiently as him on all three levels outside of the three-headed monsters on R/A/C/R. He didn’t force much and was masterful in the pick-and-roll/pop game, especially with Jackson Powers Jackson Powers 6'6" | PF Davie | 2025 State NC by his side. He’s an underrated 2025 prospect for DII and DIII programs to get eyes on given his production.
