Waterfield is another prospect for DII and DIII programs to get eyes on in the region. He’s a prospect at 6-foot-5 who’s shown he can operate on the wing and at the small forward spot given his strong rebounding presence, especially on the offensive end of the floor. He put together some strong performances for the Villains as they made the Elite 8 of the NCHSAA 1A State Playoffs, including 24 points and eight rebounds against North Rowan in the Sweet 16.

Waterfield is a prospect who will make you pay if you leave him open on the wing on the perimeter but also has shown he can attack the rim and finish with authority when overplayed. He’s another versatile wing/forward to get to know in the 2025 class at Bishop Mcguinness High as they look to make a run to another state title. He’s a prospect for DIII programs in the region to get to know with offers already on the table.
