Top Multi-Sport Athletes - Pt 2

With the high school basketball season getting underway for the month, so is football for the summer. With athletes playing multiple sports and being committed to both, it shows how impressive and dedicated it is for them to play both, or multiple different ones. Here's just 5 players who stand out in this multi-sport category.    Arion has been a lights out shooter this spring with Idaho Select, knocking down his shots at a high rate. He handles the ball with both hands at a high rate, having a quick first step when trying to get downhill, past defenders. On the football field, he is a QB who has a natural feel for the game. He reads defenses well, taking what they give him. He can scramble out of pressure in the backfield to get positive yards when being rushed but can also sit in the pocket and find his receivers.     David is just an absolute monster on the football field. There aren't many offensive lineman who can matchup with David's speed and strength he brings. Both of which translates smoothly to the basketball court. His footwork in the paint is also elite as he can display multiple moves when he seals his defender down by the basket.     Mateen is a phenomenal athlete, having a versatile skillset on the basketball court and the football field. He's a 6'7" wing who handles the ball at an elite level, being able to step out and hit the deep shot with no problem. In the post, his footwork stands out by far as well as his ability to get shots off in a variety of different ways. On the football field, I can only imagine he is a dream WR to throw too, having fantastic length, speed, and hands. He could be a college player for either sport.     Nolan is a strong point guard who has improved his mid-range and deep shot. He has been getting more upper body strength, helping him be one of the more physical guards in the entire state. Contact doesn't scare him as he gets downhill and attacks the bucket against anyone standing down in the paint. On the football field, Nolan has one of the most accurate and strongest arms in the state. He scrambles well out of the pocket too, evading lineman to extend the play.     Jack is a standout athlete for not only the football team but also the basketball team too. Mostly everyone has seen him on the field, dominating on both sides of the ball. He is a fantastic DE/LB who wraps up everyone who comes his way and also is a huge prospect on offense as TE, catching everything thrown his way and having the ability to block well for his QB and RB. He plays with a high motor on the basketball court, crashing the glass aggressively and working hard to get open down low. He runs the floor well in transition due to this athleticism. He will have an even bigger role on the court next year.
