Riverside-Brookfield: Teddy’s Friday Standouts (Part 1)

Didn't take long to get going with a three right out the gate. Got up the floor at a high rate forcing quick transition defense. Additionally being more involved as a playmaker while showing excellent footwork with the ball. Late free throws sealed the win. Warren PG got bouncy from the start with a fast-break slam and extended his range for a pull-up three shortly after. Continued to stay hot in the second half as he knocked downs several more shots. Doesn't panic with the ball and knocked down numerous shots to catapult Curie on a nice run in the 2nd half. But I saw his true potential Friday afternoon. Senior PG shined early and hit three smooth jumpers from different areas on the floor. He's also grown a few more inches and looks lengthier than before. The pick-and-roll worked really well in his favor has he accumulated numerous assist opportunities throughout the game. Really shines with the pull-up jumper. After a 29-pt performance vs El Paso-Gridley. 2026 W/F was a frustrating opponent on the low block. Did a great job boxing out and creating rebound chances. That strength transitioned to the offensive side of things. Powers his way to the hoop down low. Made several tough finishes look easy with a smooth layup package. Then extended his range for a midrange shot from the top of the key. Had numerous high IQ moments that I'm sure please both his current and future coach, too. Really strong put-back slam in the first half vs Lemont. Looked stronger as the game progressed. Got to the bucket in transition and from outside as the game progressed. Always good defensively.
