As the senior of this team and one of the contributors to last season’s city title. Johnson was ready to strap his team on his back early. He came out guns blazing with quick buckets. Strong attacks to the basket where he was fouled in the lane. Brad played at a quick pace that helped Curie jump out early over Kenwood. But some foul trouble sidelined him for most of the second quarter. Johnson didn’t see many shots until the fourth where he hit two three-pointers while Curie was down eight. The game outcome could have been different if he didn’t have to sit with those fouls. He ended with 14 points and 4 rebounds

The big guard scored 15 in the win. He is a combination of skills and pure determination. Brad had a pretty quiet game until the fourth where he scored multiple key buckets for Curie which helped them secure the win over Hyde Park. Would need to provide a more consistent effort in the championship game over favorite Kenwood.

Johnson was quiet for most of the game but as he’s done in a couple of games this season he made noise in the closing moments. Brad hit timely shots to give Curie the lead and to help stay in front the rest of the game. He’s a bigger guard with big shot capabilities. Johnson finished with 12 points and a couple of rebounds.

Johnson’s skillset and physical playstyle make him an impressive prospect. He’s a versatile scorer, able to knock down shots from three and the mid-range, including creating off the dribble. His physicality shines on drives to the rim, where he absorbs contact, plays off two feet, and uses his height and frame effectively on the glass. As a passer, Johnson demonstrates strong vision, finding open windows and executing accurate pocket passes in pick-and-roll situations. A true playmaker on both ends of the floor, he’s been a driving force behind Curie’s early success. With continued development, Johnson has the potential to excel at the D3 level.
