With the new names added, there was also an adjustment to the top ten. In this rankings review, we will look at the players who comprise the top ten of the 2027 class.
1. Tyrone Jamison Tyrone Jamison 6'2" | CG Calvary Baptist | 2027 State LA – The Calvary Baptist player is the top guard in Louisiana. He is the nations’s top point guard as rated with another publication and he just completed a stint at the Nike Top 100. He has one of the best pull up mid-range shots in the game and can distribute with the best of them.

– The most athletic forward in this class. The two sport star is excellent in transition and has many highlight finishes. Hudson has very good hands in the post and can finish from the block with either hand. Ahmad is also a rim protector and a superb help defender.
3. Elijah Haven Elijah Haven 6'5" | SF Dunham | 2027 State LA – Haven is another two sport star who is one of the most complete scorers in the state regardless of class. He is a three level scorer who also excels in transition. Elijah has the height and athleticism to guard four positions. He is a very high level player on both ends.
4. Triston Naquin Triston Naquin 6'6" | SF Archbishop Shaw | 2027 State LA – Naquin is probably the best small forward playing the four position. He is a very good rebounder on the offensive and defensive glass. Triston can also run the floor and finish with the top finishers in the state. He has a very high level player with a ton of upside.

University Lab | 2027

– The University Lab prep has played at a high level since his breakout performances during the Marsh Madness last season. Ethan is great on the offensive boards and has a quick first and second jump. He is a great transition finisher who also has an improving perimeter game.
6. Markez Davis Markez Davis 6'2" | CG Northwest | 2027 State LA – Davis is as polished as they come going into his sophomore season. He keeps the ball on a string and has great balance when he drives to the rim. Markez can score from all three levels and is a hard-nosed perimeter defender. He has a very high trajectory going forward.
7. Elijah Garner Elijah Garner 6'3" | SG Madison Prep | 2027 State LA – The Madison Prep guard is as smooth as they come with the ball in his hands. Garner can attack the rim effectively from the wings or the top of the key. He has a mid-range game that is consistent and he is an adept distributor. Elijah is another potential, high level MPA guard.

– Dillard is another high level guard/wing who can score from multiple levels. He is very good at handling the ball in transition as well as in the half court. Rodrieon can also pass effectively. His three point shoot is one of the best in NW Louisiana and he has a ton of potential.

– Parker is regarded highly as the best shooter in this class. While he has high prowess as a shooter from distance, Peyton has developed a wicked mid-range shooting game. Parker also handles the ball well enough to get to his spots for shots. He is a high IQ player as well.

– Chewning is one of the most well-round players regardless of class. He is a player who can score at any level and has enough hops to throw one down in transition. Jackson is a selfless player as well and tries to make his teammates better. He is as good as they come.
The 2027 top ten may have changed; however, it is highly talented nevertheless. These young men are shining examples of the players that Louisiana has within its borders. As we head into July, look for them to make an impact on their travel team as the live periods approach
