Memorial Weekend I headed to Kansas City, MO to check out the top notch EYBL circuit. Some of the top players from around the country form teams from all over the country and some Canadian teams as well. Arizona boasts one of the better programs in the West with [program_tooltip program_id='2271105' first='Arizona' last='Unity EYBL'] and the state has players sprinkled on touching states plus from Prep players who play for their home town teams.

Here were the 17U local standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2206144' first='Tristan' last='Beckford'] Hillcrest Prep (UPLAY) (Pictured)

A hyper athletic wing lives off the glass to score on offensive rebound put backs. He is a rebound king with his length and athletic gifts. He will defend the 2-4 and his alley-oop game is one of the best in the country. He is a sneaky good passer and will ball fake into a floater and is driving a little more now. His pull-up from mid-range is his best move and he is clearly showing signs of making progress with his shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='994689' first='Noah' last='George'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity 17)

A bigger combo lead guard with good court vision. He uses his size to get downhill and he is steadily progressing his game. His shooting is coming along from the three point line and is good defensively. He can rattle in triples one by one and competes on defense. He plays the game from the neck up and had a good showing on 17U.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630633' first='Maper' last='Maker'] Hillcrest Prep (AZ Unity)

A legit footer is very lean but is a true rim protector. He rebounds well in his area and blocks shots in and out of his area better than most on the West Coast. He runs the floor, dunks and scores with hook shots with his left or right hand. He will occasionally face-up from mid to the three point line. His fluidity in space makes his game go.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580233' first='Paul' last='Osaruyi'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity 17)

A hyper athletic bigger power forward runs the floor and the big kid can throw it down easily way above the rim. He can face-up to the three point line and he can uniquely defend in the paint, rebound, block shots but then defend in space for his size well. He has a rare college frame already as a rising sophomore and will only add to his game moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1366003' first='Jaden' last='Vance'] Bella Vista Prep (Vegas Elite)

A long and lean bigger guard is another that has been trending up for the last 15 months. He is lean but athletic and throws it down way above the rim on the break and is good in transition. He makes his money with his catch threes in bunches and his sweet spot mid-range pull-ups off the dribble. His length bothers his opponents and plays with confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237854' first='Jaion' last='Pitt'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity)

A power forward in every way. He muscles his way to the basket, has counter moves and a polished hook shot. His drop step into a hook shot or layup is his best move. He uses his strength and handle to get to his spots. He is a big time rebound chaser in traffic and he is a steady performer for the Unity team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450562' first='Jacori' last='Ervin'] Phhoenix Prep OTE (NW Rotary Rebels)

A good sized post player is pushing six-foot-eleven. He is athletic and dunks it easily way above the rim. He rebounds well, runs the floor and scores around the basket with post moves. He is patient and scores with hook shots and scores it off the glass with his length and bounce. He will bring legit size to the team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'] Millennium (AZ Unity 17)

A bigger wing who is a multiple positional defender. He can hit the catch three, euro step down the lane, he can pull-up from mid-range and made two incredible passes up the court as a true facilitating wing forward. Most importantly he personally defended AJ Dybansta and Tyran Stokes about as well as you can. As good as he is already, he looked even better going versus some of the best in the country.

[player_tooltip player_id='1464982' first='Miles' last='Sadler'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity 17)

A pure point guard is a dimer as the ball is on a string for him. He is quick on quick and faster then most in the 2026 class. He gets to the basket and uses the tear drop well and can make the open three. He is a terrific lob passer and is quick on the ball defensively. He ran the 17U team off the bench and held his own. He normally runs the 16U but they already qualified for Peach Jam and he was filling in for the House boys who were trying out at Team USA.
