19p 14r 8a 3b 1s vs Woodson

-Had really impressive back to back performances to catapult SM into the semi's next week with a near triple-double performance in the win over Woodson. Thomas plays with good pace, makes the right read, is a willing passer off the bounce or from a standstill, and competes on the glass. If he plays more assertively on a consistent basis, can improve the handle and burst, and showcases his shooting ability--he has a shot to be one of the breakout performers of the summer.

-Bowser was way more aggressive in the 2H of the game, started getting paint touches and stopped settling for jumpers, getting to the line or finishing through contact. Those drives led to a more comfortable shooting rhythm beyond the arc, which is where he shows the most long-term potential as a 3+D wing with scoring versatility. It will be fascinating to watch that development as he steps into his senior year with something to prove.

-Able has really worked on his body and it reflects in his game as he is moving much better at both ends of the floor while maintaining the shooting touch that separates him from the pack. Maintaining a good shot selection and shot diet during a blowout is always an impressive indicator for a young prospect. If he can add more burst off the bounce, improve his handle to be more of a primary— his recruitment will take off.

-Big fella was engulfing rebounds and finishing plays well around the rim in a big win for John Carroll to advance to the semifinals. He's added more upper body strength while developing his feel as a big-when to dive to the weak side for a rebound, when to screen the guard and when to space, when to pop and serve as a passer or when he needs to roll to the rim, screening angles, etc. Grabbed 6 offensive rebounds on the night and ended 4 of them with a 2-handed flush.

Fort came to life in the 2H of a closs loss at the buzzer to DM, willing his team back into the game while showing the full range of his abilities. Fort knocked down perimeter shots, picked it up defensively on his shows and helper rotations, and finished plays above the rim. With JR graduating the bulk of their guard depth and scoring, the team will go as he goes this year.

-Incredibly dynamic athlete, flushing home a tip dunk and punctuated another drive with the 1-handed flush early in the game. Chilton can get hot in a hurry from beyond the arc but counters the hard closeouts that come with that hot shooting with explosive drives to the rim. Handles it well in tight spaces, comes off the ball screens tight to force the hard hedge but can also drag the screen to force good communication between the defenders to either hit the 3 or hit the roller. He's making a pretty strong case to grab that top 2027 spot in the Commonwealth.

-Gantomer shows flashes as a playmaker off the bounce with a tight handle that allows him to weave through the defense. With the ability to play on or off the ball, his calling card is the perimeter shooting- he shoots the same shot with consistent form and takes the right looks within the flow of the offense. Will be interesting to see if he adds more weight to his frame to handle bumps on drives to the rim, or if he fully leans into the scoring PG/shooter role.
