Jamaal McKnight Jr. Jamaal McKnight Jr. 5'11" | PG DeMatha | 2027 State MD 5’11 PG DeMatha
7 to 3
-McKnight came on strong towards the end of the HS season and has carried that momentum forward into the grassroots season as the maestro for a loaded Durant 15u group. A tough, physical guard with elite burst that bullies his way to his spots– McKnight is learning when to pick his spots as a scorer and distributor. Mastering that feel at his size will be key in determining his long-term ceiling.
Jymin Veney Jymin Veney 6'3" | CG Gonzaga | 2027 State MD 6’3 PG Gonzaga
10 to 6
-A relatively-hidden gem while performing at a high level on a loaded Gonzaga JV team, Veney has hit his stride during the AAU season as a guard that can remain effective on or off the ball at both ends of the floor. Really good feel and patience at a young age to go with a growing skillset– it will be interesting to see how Gonzaga utilizes him this season as a change of pace guard coming off the bench.
Terrence Jones III Terrence Jones III 5'11" | PG St. Frances | 2027 State MD 5’11 PG St. Frances
UR to 22
-TJ was possibly Baltimore’s best-kept secret last season, performing at a high level on a very good SFA JV team while developing as a lead guard at the high school level. A dynamic, physical lefty PG that leverages his size and strength to get to his spots– I fully expect a big season ahead for Jones within a free-flowing Panthers offense.
Zayvion Williams Zayvion Williams 6'5" | SG Bullis | 2027 State MD 6’5 SG Bullis
UR to 30
– A diamond in the rough last season for Potomac, Williams brings an intriguing blend of length, ball skills, and athleticism to a Bullis team with available minutes in the backcourt with the graduation of several key rotation pieces. Very intrigued with his long-term potential as a 2/3 hybrid wing.
Bruiser Edwards Bruiser Edwards 5'9" | PG Georgetown Prep | 2027 State MD 5’9 PG Georgetown Prep
UR to 35
-A strong, heady point guard with great feel- Edwards figures to play a larger role for a Georgetown Prep varsity team that graduates most of its guard depth. With a tight handle and a pure PG skillset, we look forward to watching him earn an opportunity to serve as the maestro with plenty of talent on the wings and the low block.
