-Like his activity at both ends of the floor as the reclass year seems to be paying dividends with his positioning and feel. Williams is learning how to play without the ball in his hands as a connecting wing that can make plays off the bounce or score off of cuts. He stepped in to knock down a big three from the top of the key, had a beautifully-timed backdoor cut from the corner to make it a 1-possession game late, and gives Bullis a versatile and switchable defender that can comfortably guard 1-3 while doing alright on forwards.

He’s a tough, wing guard prospect with a high motor and phenomenal nose for the ball. Zayvion used his strong frame to imply, particularly as a defender and rebounder. He finishes very well around the basket, makes unselfish decisions, and can space the floor as needed. Zayvion defends multiple positions and makes hustle plays on a consistent basis. He’s capable of producing in several types of roles. Next in his development process is working on his consistency as a three-point shooter, as it would make him even more difficult for opponents to contain. High game of 21 points against Potomac School. Averaged 5 points and 6 rebounds a game.

-Williams has waited his turn as a transfer that had to sit out a year before starting a new chapter with Bullis. But the young wing took the opportunity to really work on his body while studying the game to make the most impact when cleared to play. Williams projects to be a high-level 3+D wing capable of guarding 1-3 while putting up a good fight against forwards. He does a great job of using his length and athleticism to rebound out of his area and he has impressed scouts with the ability to generate his own offense by hitting the offensive glass, cutting hard to the rim, or setting on-ball screens that free him up for easy lanes at the rim. If he can sharpen the handle to pull off efficient 2-dribble drives from outside the 3 point arc to the rim and work on the consistency of his shooting mechanics to become an above average shooter– we love his upside as a prospect. The afore-mentioned rebounding, athleticism, and defensive upside should earn him minutes to prove the rest over time.

adds a lot of great qualities. Zayvion has a tremendous motor and does well as a two-way role-playing wing. Zayvion is a good athlete and does well finishing at the rim. Zayvion has been incredibly consistent for Bullis, and I love his energy on the defensive side of the ball. Zayvion isn’t an elite shooter, but he can knock down open shots. Zayvion had 13 points.

-Probably the best energy output that I’ve seen from the freshman as he turned in a productive double-double performance for the Bulldogs–flying in to collect rebounds that secured defensive possessions for his team. Standing 6’5 with good length and athleticism, Williams figures to be next in a long line of productive wings for Coach Kelley that will carve out a niche for himself off the bench as an energy wing that completes the small tasks that add up to winning. Although the ball-handling has improved, when it tightens enough for him to navigate in narrow spaces, his burst and quickness off the bounce will only be accentuated in the halfcourt.
