2027 Rankings: Bright Future Guards

Should form one of the better 1-2 scoring punches in 6A next winter for a Sabercats team with youthful upside.     Exploded as a small town standout as a freshman, then rocketed to an even higher level with an iconic Big House run that led to his school's first Gold Ball. He's already a quick guard, with a solid frame and fantastic motor. His scoring skills benefit from quality athleticism, but there's translatable skills in his handle and off the dribble shooting ability. Especially from beyond the arc. With the strong start to Shelburn's high school career, he's a must watch as another torch bearer for the small school stars that Oklahoma has produced in recent years.     Productive freshman year at the small school ranks, showing a great foundation as a score first point guard. Is now making the big jump to the 6A level with Norman North, which should see his scoring mentality be merged with a more complete offensive skillset. Which will involve him better picking his spots to score and playing the role of a distributor. Development in those areas will increase his immediate impact and help him reach his long term potential.     Litherland is starting to grow physically and athletically into a potentially more dynamic lead guard. Which would make for a scary combo given his strong skill foundation that comes with being a coach's son. He's a priority watch going forward as he looks set to be a key part of a Shawnee program that could shake up a new look 5A West Side State Tournament picture. Very well could be undervalued in this class.       Strong framed guard, who is impactful on both ends of the court. Has been the ringleader for a successful 15U grassroots squad this spring. He's a loose ball magnet on the defensive end, with good anticipation skills for steals and even rebounding on the offensive glass. Good first step, which combined with his strength makes him a great finisher at the 15U level. Looks like a bully ball wing, who has turned into a promising lead guard. And has made strong strides with flashes as a playmaking.     Energetic guard, who is a pest on the defensive end and closed the high school season strong. Has good range from three, but the combination of tenacity and attention to detail on defense are what currently makes him stand out. Currently profiles as a X Factor :havoc causing" guard at the 6A level, with the upside to mature into a complete lead guard.
