Za’brien Shelburn Za’brien Shelburn 6'0" | PG Wilson | 2027 OK is a crafty and athletic guard who regularly pushes the pace and breaks down defenses. He plays a very aggressive game on both ends of the floor and stands out as one of the most impactful small school guards in the state. Shelburn is one of the top guards in his class and should be able to help Wilson compete for a second-straight championship.

Exploded as a small town standout as a freshman, then rocketed to an even higher level with an iconic Big House run that led to his school’s first Gold Ball. He’s already a quick guard, with a solid frame and fantastic motor. His scoring skills benefit from quality athleticism, but there’s translatable skills in his handle and off the dribble shooting ability. Especially from beyond the arc. With the strong start to Shelburn’s high school career, he’s a must watch as another torch bearer for the small school stars that Oklahoma has produced in recent years.

The best performance of the day came in the final game, as the freshman was unstoppable in Wilson’s night cap victory. He’s quick on both ends of the floor and elevates with ease to finish strong at the rim. Shelburn has some wiggle to dribble to get space on drives, but was best when exploding through openings or spinning to avoid defenders at the rim. And when left open from three, he made Frontier with big three after three.
Shelburn didn’t neglect the defensive end either, as he changed the game in the final frame. On back to back possessions he blocked a shot on the perimeter, then picked a ball handler’s pocket.
It’s safe to say that Za’brien and his brothers left a lasting impression after their Big House debut. And with the youth of the quartet (two sophomores and two freshmen) expect for more fireworks to come down the road.
